Active Roster
i know this has been debated basically since week 1 after we lost to the pats, but hears the thing. our team loves to sign every cowboy leftover, they try and get every single coach from the cowboys, but their is one thing they must do that actually makes sense that relates to the cowboys.
fire sparano now. Now people may say how does that relate to the cowboys in anyway? well i feel that our situation this year is extremely similar to theirs last season.
last season as im sure you guys all remember, the cowboys were supposed to be a very talented successful team. now, not saying that we were exactly supposed to be like them expectation wise this year, but we were supposed to have a top 5 defense, and a change in the level of play from a year ago.
well that cowboy team last year stumbled out of the gate like they never do. they were losing every game right and left, and one can blame injuries, but they seemed like they had packed it in and had no desire to play for wade phillips anymore. whether thats right or wrong is for another debate, but it was the truth. after they finally lost to the packers, getting annihilated, phillips was gone, they replaced him with jason garret, and although they did not finish with the best record, they won some games, played with fire, and gave every team their best shot. if they had made that move early on, like after week 2, and not week 7 or 8 whenever it was, they could have salvaged their season.
well heres where it comes to us. we are only 0-2, which obviously after 2 games is the worst possible record you can have. however, despite all of us having given up already and all, it still is early enough where if we get the right guy in here, ( or even just change for the sake of change which sometimes works) i believe we will start to see a much improved team with a lot more passion, intensity, fire, and much improved play overall.
this team has given up on sparano it seems, and its been like that basically since the end of last year. i dont know if nolan is exactly the best head coach, but just like the cowboys last year when they changed, and even when we let jim bates take over in 04, this team got a spark.
thankfully, its only week 3 coming up and its still really early, and maybe, just maybe we can salvage something, or the very least be able to watch a team that plays with fire from here on. that being said, dont make the same mistake a team like dallas made last year and wait till late in the year, make it early before things get way out of hand, and put a coach in their who the players will play 100% and has the players respect
