Everyone seems to be calling for the heads of Greir, McDaniels, Ross etc….
While I don’t blame any of you. This has been an epic collapse!! 3 consecutive years, one final Miami win meant playoffs. Rinse and repeat

What concerns me is if we do sneak in the playoffs. One and done is besides the point cause that’s what would happen.

If we do sneak in…..it would more then likely mean jobs being saved rather then dismissed?

Ross is such a moron he’ll see it as a major step forward and probably extend Grier for another 10 years

Well it depends. I know one and done is the riding theory but this team has insane speed. If Tua can back and played like the first half of the GB game they could play upset. At the end of the day though barring a SB run I think playoff win or not Boyer is gone. Grier retained. And McDaniels given the chance to bring in his own guy on defense. Tua stays the starter.

I suppose we could upset a team in the playoffs but I don’t think it will happen. The best teams step it up a notch and right now we are poorly coached. IMO we would be out-coached very quickly
In the event we make it in I suppose it buys McD another year
Although any fan who watches this team every week knows deep down McD is not an NFL head coach. I never saw McDermott or McVay make the same mistakes over and over and over again. Those are good coaches, although you could say the Rams bought and traded away for their SB is why they’re bad now. Is that so bad though? Let’s see how he rebuilds it

That’s exactly what it will mean bc technically… it would show progress by accomplishing something Flores couldn’t. When MM and Grier go to Ross for the end of year evaluation… all they have to do is point to one accomplishment…

“Mr Ross… we made the playoffs”.

That’s all they need. Now Ross may just say screw it and fire one of them anyway but I his past decisions don’t indicate that’s what would happen even though that’s exactly what needs to happen.

However by missing the playoffs after an 8-3 start AND trading away a 1st round pick in season… someone significant would have to lose their job. Even Ross would be forced to fire somebody and place the blame for this on them.

I would be stunned and I mean stunned if we miss the playoffs and one of MM/Grier doesn’t lose their job. Bc that would basically be Ross saying he’s ok with a 6 game losing streak to end the season.

Just think… at 8-3 all we needed was 1 more victory to assure a playoff berth. Just 1 is all we needed… and we lost all 5. 0-5 in December/January and people trying to tell me someone significant won’t lose their job for that? No way no how somebody doesn’t lose their job for this massively disappointing end to the season.

This is why unfortunately I think a loss to the Jets is the best case scenario for the future outlook of this franchise. It applies immediate pressure with no bullshit saving grace feel morally good ending.

We have a roster that can be tweaked into a winner with a few key additions (limited resources I know) and better coaching. I have no doubt in my mind Doug Pederson wins 11+ games with this team and it’s injury issues this season.

McDaniel getting to the postseason, laying an egg, etc. just puts us back into our usual 3 year pattern. **** that. We have key players that are close to age 30 or over. This roster is ready to compete now. We need a coach who is ready to win now.

No decent GM or HC would want the job in Miami. Our current staff has built the roster to win now…and we are 8-8. We have a ton of bloated vet contracts and no 1st round pick(s). Our starting QB played like a MVP for a few weeks, played terrible for a few games, and likely suffered 3 concussions this season. In all honestly, McDaniel and Grier will probably get another year and if we don’t win a playoff game new people will come in and tear it all down.

If Miami loses, Ross, Grier, Mcd, TT, and likely Boyer will be back. No question. Vent away
So you're basically saying Ross doesn't care about fielding a winning team. Keeping the same people who have failed sends the message that you are perfectly fine with failure. Makes sense since Ross has been a complete failure as an NFL owner.

The Teams doesn't deserve to make the playoffs.

Very few of these coaches deserve to keep their jobs.

Especially the retained DC and ST coaches.

So basically the incompetence of Ross and Grier has screwed the fans once again. Awesome.
