I'm just being realistic here. There are too many 6-6 teams with easier schedules. However if we do win out with our schedule then the playoffs wont scare me because if we could run that gauntlet then we can do anything. So I will just watch em one game at a time and see what happens.

yea ur right cause last season people will say easiest schedule
now we have the hardest plus the adversity the team has went threw is 2ndtonone

we had no injuries last year besides cam
this year seems like we r gettin a key player out every 2 or 3 games

i forgot what else i wanted to add

Last year we played pretty terrible teams en route to the division title and playoffs. This year, "turning things around" meant wins against the Jets (twice), the Patriots and Panthers. And it'll mean wins against the Jaguars, Titans, Texans and Steelers.

If we were to assume that we win out, which is a tough assumption to make, then the record of the 10 teams we beat will have been 50-58 (.463) against non-Dolphin opponents (as of right now). Last year that number for our 11 victories was 68-95 (.417).

Last year, losses came at the hands of opponents with a 43-30 (.589) combined record. This year, that record is currently 46-18 (.719).

And the big difference, I think, is that last year we lost to three really good teams...the Cardinals in their house, the Patriots after they got into a rhythm with Cassel, and the Ravens. You can count the second game against the Ravens if you want. None of the four games were close. This year I think we've faced the two toughest teams in the league, and we took them both to the wire...showing that we can PLAY with any team.

plus pats didnt have brady so beating that scumbag is like winning it all---i got that championship feeling last week

I agree. There are teams out there, specifically the Ravens that have an easier schedule and are in better position to take the wildcard.

But it also starts with us. As bad as we have played (Buffalo game) and as good as we have played (NE game) anything can happen. But it starts with us first.

Very good point. There's no reason to believe, that if we beat 4 teams that are all on the cusp of a playoff berth themselves, that we won't be primed for a deep playoff run. Winning games like these down the stretch builds character, and most importantly confidence. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the upcoming weeks.

the biggest question is will beat any playoff teams this year ? if not we wont be in the playoffs or i dont see how we can be in the playoffs.

we need to beat Tenn and Pitttsburgh to secure our chances.

Whether we make the playoffs or not I think this season has been successful (though some will disagree). We lost our starting QB, arguably our best offensive weapon (also the starting RB), our starting DT and our best CB coming into the season. Those are some big injuries to endure.

Again, I know many will disagree but I still think this season is a successful one even if we finish with 7-9 wins. This schedule was brutal, the injuries were key and Henne had to hold down the fort in his first season starting. All and all there is plenty of good coming out of the 2009 season.

screw the wild card. We're going after the division.
Congrats on the new born, Tommy. Great timing!!!! lol!
