While the "we should get this player, or that player" really annoy me. I decided to be a hypocrite and start one.
I just realized that Malcom Floyd of the Chargers is a free agent this year. Definitely not a big name, probably won't demand big money, but is a big target.
Floyd is 6'5 and ran a 4.44 40. 4th year in the league, but spent most of his time on the practice squad, developing after being signed as a UDFA from Wyoming.
Came on for really the first time in his career in 2008 with 27 catches for 465 and 4 TDs.
Plus he was playing pretty far back in the depth chart with the talent SD has at the receiving positions.
The fins WR core really needs that big body who could muscle up on corners and play physically.I know we will not be drafting a WR early in the draft which means the elite big bodies will be gone by the time we are looking (Nicks, Lafell, Britt.)

I do believe this kid could be a sort of missing link that the Dolphins are looking for. Just to nip this in the bud right now. I do not believe London is ready YET, to step into this role. I think could Floyd could offer that until he developes.

I just realized that Malcom Floyd of the Chargers is a restricted free agent this year. Definitely not a big name, probably won't demand big money, but is a big target.

Could be worth a shot, im surprised no one's heard of him being a FA ..?

depends what the chargers tender him for of course, but id be interested. hes a solid player.

how do you know we won't draft a WR early? but i agree he's worth a look.

I am always suprised at how little movement there is the RFA market every year

alot of tenders are for day 2 picks and I would rather have a productive 4 year vet who is stuck in the depth chart than a rookie WR from round 5, who MAY make the team.

but hopefully Brandon London is as good as this guy and we can look elsewhere

Know was probably the wrong word there, should have reread it. But I think we will not.
I think we look at LB, OL, DL, secondary. I think they are much more pressing needs, and actually do not believe our WRing core is in that bad of shape.

god I hope we don't take a WR with one of our first 4 picks

agreed, but i would like to see harvin/ iglesias/ nicks/ britt etc in fins uniform. didnt intend to sound like a prick, just thought you may have read an article or heard a source saying we wouldnt draft a WR.

No offense taken man, it was a poor choice of words on my part.

I just don't see us looking WR until 4th round or later.

yeah. there are a few good WRs down there. we do have more pressing needs.
