Malik Willis, perhaps our new GM has our Qb?

Sullivan like to build teams in the draft. He had that option in GB cause it's nice to have a QB like Rodgers. This rebuild will take 5 years. Anther 5 years of misery

The infatuation with this guy is insane. Never seen the general consensus on a player jump the gun so fast. He’s played 3 games last two years and while yeah he’s looked alright he’s likely going to get what justin fields saw which is around 20-25 million and multiple years. Let some other team pay it but haven’t seen enough to give that and he’s likely not anything more than a bottom tier starter.

Not to mention Lefleur is a very good coach who knows how to get the most out of his qb, he won’t be nearly the same player he looked like in those 3 games with most of the coaches around the league.
Why are you and others claiming he's going to demand so much money? Based off what exactly. No way in hell he can demand that...

If your JE and you believe in Willis then you’re going to sign Willis, it’s a unique situation that favors your new team.

He’s immediately on the spot to make that decision, I mean if he doesn’t it’s a complete indictment on Willis.. there couldntt be a better situation for Willis then here competing with Ewers
WITH WHAT MONEY??

we aint in a postion to sign anyone really out side of the draft picks

You can laugh but the market pays plan A’s even on short term pacts around that. Just don’t be surprised if he were to find 2 years and say $60 mil from someone as a bridge guy. Probably $40 mil teed or something.

All it takes is one team to buy in.
Cmon hoops that's insane. No one is paying that much for him

Most Dolphin fans aren’t gonna like this, but the only way Miami can hope to be a decent football team while getting out from under Tua’s cap numbers is to pay the QB position next to nothing while somehow getting solid QB play. Denver looked doomed after eating Russell Wilson’s deal until they got Nix on a rookie contract playing good ball.

While Tua hangs over our heads, we cannot pay Malik Willis without crippling several other positions on our roster. The plan almost has to be, draft a QB in the first few rounds and hope either him or Ewers ends up being good enough.

There is a silver lining here: Ewers looks to be at least competent and a guy who could very well give us better play at the QB spot than Tua has these past 2 seasons. Plus, if our new GM drafts the right QB, the combination of the new rookie and Ewers might put us in a better spot at the QB position than we’ve seen in a very long time…

Question, why do you and others say he's going to get paid or demand lots of money? What has he done to demand such a deal?
I'm not getting that either. He's still on his rookie contract. He has made a whopping 155 attempts in his 4 year NFL career, he's only 6' (small sound familiar). He's had a decent game and a half (both were losses). I don't get it, bring him in at league minimum maybe to compete for the third string or back up. IMO Ewers is better and already under a cheap contract. I will defer to JES and the new coach, but I don't see it.

100% true. Most fans at least here at FH want to be uncompetitive for several years. The Dolphins organization and its leadership is not much different.
Dude what? We want to be "uncompetitive"? In what world are you living in? Are you in a different dimension? Most of this board has been STARVING to be competitive again...
