Hes really a special RB. He has ALL the tools a RB needs, he'll be up there with the elite in 2 years tops.

This topic is useless, im just hella excited bout the dolphins.

If Ronnie continues to progress, he will get his contract extension. Saban understands the importance of talent. Right when he got here last year he said he had to resign McMike. I'm not worried about Ronnie leaving. Especially if we're winning the Lombardie.:D

Ronnie was Saban's first draft pick. He won't be going anywhere for a long time.

New video interview of "Runnin' Ronnie" from MSN:

Ronnie sounds more confident and comfortable doing interviews than he did last year. I'd like to see him do more of them. He'll be needing more experience doing media interviews after this season.

I bet he's going to have a breakout season like Larry Johnson did last year ...and he's going to make his #23 jersey famous like Michael Jordan did #23 in the NBA. It sounds like he wants to be a great one like the guy he used to watch growing up ... Barry Sanders. Saban did goood picking Ronnie as his first draft pick as an NFL coach. :D

yer link didn't bring me to Ronnie....

Looks like the webmaster didn't do something right. I'm not sure why the link didn't bring up the video of Ronnie. I found it by clicking this link ... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl . Scroll down to "Free Video" where you see Ronnie's picture.

The link there isn't working so you have to click this link:

http://video.msn.com/v/us/v.htm?t=c3...rts_Top%20News , then click NFL News in the left column under Top Sports Video. You'll see "Runnin Ronnie" at the top.

Ronnie stays for the duration. I am sure of it.

Im not sure about the DURATION of his career. Assuming he has a 12 year career, its hard to see any running back stay with the same team that long considering the modern day NFL. What I hope for is that he stays with us through his peak years. The way I see it, if he ends up being a superstar back, it should last right through until he is 30 or 31 years old. After that its not hard to imagine some team that has a hole at running back taking him off our hands hoping he has another year in him.
Im sure by then we'll have a new guy ready to role.

But till then, Ronnie is the man. He has Edgerrin James talent, and he's bigger, so hopefully he turns out to be as good or better than Edge. IMO, Edge is by far the best ALL AROUND running back in the league. Running, catching, blocking, and his ability to minimize the damage on every single tackle. Has anyone ever seen him get JACKED UP????, lol, nope

I hope he stays. I am in the process of negotiating a trade for him in my fantasy football keeper league. He'll be anchoring my team for the next 5 years!

Well, he has what? 5 years left on his rookie deal? At least he won't be leaving anytime soon. This is also the season he gets the big portion of his signing bonus based on how his contract was structured if I recall. Of course, I'm going by memory here which always dangerous, especially for me. It will be kind of interesting at that point to see how long we're willing to extend him. He will be about 29 when this deal expires. Sort of like with priest holmes and the chiefs. Ronnie was almost 2 years older than your average rookie so he may have a harder time landing another megadeal. Look at Edge and Alexander. Teams just aren't super excited about paying big dollars for rb's. Oh, there's a long time and a lotta yards between now and then...

I'd say Halifax nailed it pretty well, hope Ronnie stays with us for the bulk of his prime time. Any more is gravy.

I dont know why but never been a big fan of this guy even tho hes looked pretty good last season. My favorite dolphin player on offense is by far Randy Mcmichael. I like Chambers and Welker too but i dont know I never got anything for Ronnie even tho I think hes going to do pretty good this season.

How can you not love him?

He's classy. Down-to-earth.

He's the soon-to-be face of the Dolphins franchise. He's dedicated. He never mouths off or takes a play off.

He's the best player we've drafted since Dan Marino. Yup. I said that.
