Mando: Coaches/FO Have Different Opinions on Tannehill

I'm starting to think Mondo just likes to stir the pot of s*** and lick the spoon...

I have a few thoughts here…
1. This staff is not coming back: The way that Campbell and Lazor talk about Tannehill and the opinion that Tannenbaum and the FO has based on Mando's insight, they have no chance to get the job. I am shocked actually that they are not trying to acquiesce to what the FO wants in order to try to get the job at the end of the year. Don't they know satisfying Tannenbaum gives them a better chance of getting the gig?
2. The FO is overrating how good RT is right now compared to who they would take him over.
3. However, they are right and has always been my point, that it is easier said then done trying to replace the kid.[/B]
4. The next coach is going to be an offensive guy that will be expected to tailor a system to fit RT.
5. The team is smart to state that if they are blown away with a QB prospect they will run to him. However, they are not actively looking to replace RT. I think that is a perfect mix.
6. ***I have said this all day today and for the past few weeks….Tannehill can make all of this stuff go away by playing well the rest of the year. He needs to make it work right now. Mando is right that it seems like RT has checked out on the offensive system based on his quotes. However, that is BS on his part. He needs to make things work on his end. This organization has not made a line to fit him…that is true. However, they have fired coaches, brought in new receivers and given him a big contract to back him. It is time he simply progresses. I am not calling for him to be a Pro Bowler…just show you are getting better. If he does, these questions go away.

Reading this I am immediately thinking Jackson, Gase or Haley will be the next coach.

Tannenbaum will want to find someone to make sure the offense works.

I believe it... But in reality what can they do, we are handcuffed to the guy for another season. Me myself, I'm about as hot and cold as you can get on the guy. Haven't seen much from the guy that excites me about his future with the team...

But I think back to performances last year: Denver, Oakland, Minnesota, San Diego, Chicago and at certain times he looked like he had the potential to be special. He has taken a step back this season.

Perhaps they look at possibly trading Tannehill if they're as in love with Paxton Lynch as the reports say. If the new Head Coach isnt sold on the guy and Tannebaum is starting to have doubts they might decide to go that route... But it could come back to bite is in the ass. I think he needs an upgraded OL and the right coach and he could put it together....

What do you think Tannehill is worth on the trading block... I mean if Trent Richardson can garner a firstbyou would have to think...

If anyone thinks lazor makes it through to next season that should clear that up. Tannenbaum thinks RT is the answer.... That's all she wrote for Campbell and lazor.

Translation- Offensive staff is trying to cover their ass when they go looking for a new job in 2016.

He needs some real competition. And not Moore. Maybe draft a 3rd or 4th rounder or maybe get someone else who is a backup on another team like RG3 or the guy in KC. Someone who can push RT to get better.

You are really under estimating how terrible Lazor is.

Lazor has had a bad year. No question. However, why did RT have his best season by far last year under Lazor?

I am not totally going to toss Lazor under the bus for everything. Tannehill has to find away to get better over the next six games.

I can tell you I would feel better about next year if Tannehill stars over the next six games.

Maybe Ryan isn't talented enough to do what Lazor wants.

The areas Tannehill has struggled with this year have not been an issue in years past. Teams are no longer fooled by Bubbles playbook. If it is a problem with the qb why does Bubbles continue to try and push square pegs into round holes. Any decent oc would change his strategy to try and make it work with the qb, Bubbles continues down the same path. I see the same ego problems in Philadelphia.

RT has got better with his yards per attempt. His deep ball looks better…that has improved.

I think the issues to be fair are team issues…3rd downs and 4th quarter play. That said, he does play a vital role in how good the team is in those spots.

Plus, the team getting stuck on two TD's a game falls on him right or wrong.

It is obvious that Dan Campbell is done though, eh?

The biggest issue I have with Tannenhill is that he isn't a leader. I'll just see him go out and drag his feet for 5 straight three and outs and no change. He doesn't ever take the game into his own hands and say I'm going to take over.

I still think the next coach needs to bring in a vet that RT should beat. If he can't or it's close I think it will be time to move on. I don't know what the draft will bring but if we got the chance at another franchise QB I think we got to take it. If we got a chance of trading RT(don't know if his contract would be moveable) and our 1st pick to move up I gotta say we take a swing at it.
