both.

Mann may have put up better stats this preseason, but it was all during cleanup time. DT, while not stellar, has proven he can at least play in this league.

that said, if Mann comes in this regular season and shows some flash, my opinion would change.

I really don't think that Maurice Mann has a very realistic chance of making the team, most likely the Practice Squad if he makes it through waivers. I do think Derrius Thompson has somewhat of a very slight chance of making the team, but honestly I hope we able to trade him to Phily along with Gordon but he might or they both might just end up getting released. Honestly if I had to choose between Mann and Thompson I would go with Thompson, and the only reason that I think Mann would make it over Thompson is because of salary and Special Teams.

I would like to keep Mann, but PS would mean another team could swipe him from us...if he is truely catching the eye of Saban and Scott L., I could really see him be sent to NFLE for a year to develop overall skills because the kid has skills, just haven't seen him in a full game.
