Manning and Wayne to Miami?

no thanks to both, 1 is broken and 1 is far to old................

I can easily see Wayne not re-sign there and follow Manning wherever he goes. That would be sick. Wayne is an instant upgrade over Hartline even at 33, but what is the co$t?

What is so "sick" about it? This isn't 2007. Wayne has lost a lot of his burst and doesn't seperate like he used to. He's just a name at this point

The guy had almost 1000 yards (960) and 4 TDs (12 yards per catch average) with the worst QBs in the NFL. In comparison B-Marsh had 1000 yrds and 3 TDs his first year here when we had ****ty QB play. You are nuts if you dont think he has something left in the tank. Combine that with Manning and thier rapport it could be very nice. He may not be a #1 WR like before but he sure as hell is better than Hartline.

I'd kick the tires on that. What's with dogging Wayne? He still nearly put up 1000 yards with the worst QB tandem in the league. Wayne would immediately become our second best receiver. The last year he & Peyton played together Wayne put up 1300 yards & 1200 yards the year before that. Not bad for an old man. Wayne has sure hands, something our other great WR doesn't, & would immediately upgrade our third down conversion percentage with he & Bess.

I 100% agree with you and don't want this post to sound like I would target that, but Manning, Wayne, trade up for Blackmon if he falls, and a solid O-lineman in FA and I kind of get a tingly feeling in my naughts parts.

Pfffff......

Manning is not going to play unless he is healthy. He's way to smart for that. If he is healthy...Ill take Manning and Wayne in a hearbeat. If we landed a healthy Peyton Manning, we are a super bowl contender next season. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT.

While I think it sounds great in theory, very rarely happens like this. First, we don't know if Manning is healthy and if he is, would Indy be willing to part with him. Second, Wayne has indicated that he'd like to stay in Indy, but will go to wherever he can get paid. So while both of those sound promising for us, we forget that our cap numbers are not that good and I wonder if we have the room for them and still upgrade at other spots?

Manning YES, R.Wayne no thanks unless he comes at vets minimum. Manning gives us the opportunity to win it all in the next three years, but while we are in that mode we still need to be developing talent. I would think we still need a mid round QB to develop and take over in three years. Marshall, Bess and Hartline are more than talented enough that they will flourish having a real QB throwing the ball to them. We need to be concentrating on develpoing the talent around the team not all of a sudden paying every old guy out there for a short term run.
