Manning and Wayne to Miami?

Lets rebuild this team with our own Manning and Wayne not some players in the twilight of their
careers.

While I think it sounds great in theory, very rarely happens like this. First, we don't know if Manning is healthy and if he is, would Indy be willing to part with him. Second, Wayne has indicated that he'd like to stay in Indy, but will go to wherever he can get paid. So while both of those sound promising for us, we forget that our cap numbers are not that good and I wonder if we have the room for them and still upgrade at other spots?

If Indy would keep Manning and draft Luck they will have 50mil tied into two players in the same position, if your going to keep Manning then you have to provide him with the talent to win now and that gets real expensive if your looking at Garcon, Wayne, Clark, Mathis, Saturday and Gonzales all being FA's, then you still need to fix the oline, get a run game and fix the defense. Now, you take the chance that Luck will say trade me, I'm not signing and sitting for 2/3 years when he knows he can start right away.

All of that is resolved by saying to Manning thanks for the memories but we need to move on and we're willing to let you go as a FA and decide how your career will finish. Indy looks good in all accounts. They move on and re-build the franchise around Luck! I really don't see any other way unless they are asking for trouble.....think of this too, what coach wants to be the one that eventually benches Manning for Luck, no thanks!

Peyton manning=superbowl contenders...no question..he is still the best qb of our lifetime.what seperates the elite great qbs are what they demand from theyre team mates and this will be marshalls best year with manning under center.what have you done for me lately...I think people are undervaluing that he is still in his prime and one of the best qbs ever! If you have a chance, you better get him and draft his replacement in the 2nd or 3rd round for when he retires.hopefully he brings the hardware home before he does though.screw flynn "if" manning is healthy.last time I checked his right shoulder didn't get broken...you know he wants to prove the naysayers wrong also.

I'd give Wayne a veteran contract. If at a minimum, he could teach the younger guys some things and take some heat off of Marshall.

Manning, yes. Wayne no. I'd rather snag the FA WR that has a whole lot more left on his tires from Indy, GARCON. Now Marshall, Garcon and Bess with Fasano, hopefully Fleener, and Reggie with Peyton at the helm, makes the offense sick and allows the draft to focus on the OL to get the protection Peyton will need to survive.

I can understand people's concerns with Manning, but if Reggie Wayne is healthy, how can you not want him? He's an upgrade over Hartline.

Yes Please. A step slow or not, I feel good about my chances lining up knowing either Marshall or Wayne are going to be single-covered at any given time. And if Manning comes, he is definitely a great guy to have in the receiver meetings. Manning or not, this is a move that should be considered. Unless of course he is asking for ridiculous money, but I give him the same deal Reggie got any day.

peyton manning has a broken neck and is 36 years old not to mention he would cost way too much for most likely nothing-----i would never take him or want him on miami at this point! either via draft or fa or stick with moore for another season...

Wayne can still be an effective WR even with his age. His hands are still as good as any WR in the game.

How about Peyton and Victor Cruz if money is no object. Get real. If Peyton is signed you can forget about other big name free agents. There won't be any cap room.

Some way, somehow, I have a feeling growing inside of me (It's not that Wolf Brand Chili I had for dinner last night) that IF Manning plays this next year, a very very strong chance it is indeed in Miami.

Manning and Wayne together is indeed a pipe-dream, and as has been mentioned, unless both are willing to work for a dramatically reduced salary, not possible.
