Great to see number 75 get a shot on game day.... I have been waiting for weeks to get a glimpse of this guy after hearing he has been tearing it up in practice.....

Saban said "Manny is one injury away from playing time...." and with Traylor going out he gets his shot..... what a great first impression!!!!!

After reading the article a week or so ago about him being "homesick" and "questioning if he made the right decision to come out early"... yesterdays game has to go a long way in giving the kid confidence and fuel his desire to work even harder....

I know right? From the sound of things he had a very impressive game. I didn't get to see the game, so maybe you can tell me... how many times did he get in the backfield and put pressure on the QB?

Yes I am curious as to how well he did too. I have been one of the few that thought spending this years 5th on him was a wonderful idea. I think if he had been in this years draft we might have been looking at a lot more.

Manny blew up the middle and got a sack.... and was disruptive on several other plays... he has an explosive first step and can split the o-line... he also looks like he has strong hands.... a great first impression....

so Manny Wright has obviously proved he can do it. We also have Jeff Zgonina who is apparently our leading tackler, and Kevin Carter-Keither Traylor playing in the middle, along with young Kevin Vickerson....does this mean we forget about drafting a DT this year??? Or do we still draft a DT (Haloti Ngata)???

I really don't think we can say he "proved" anything other than he is capable of playing the game and his future seems to be bright "if".... you never have enough stud DT's... we need to draft a DT....

Guys, I was as excite about that sack as anyone, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Buffalo guy flat out did not block him in any way, shape or form.

It was nice to see Manny out there though.

Couldn't block him....

I don't think anyone is getting ahead of anything.... just posted it was great to see him on the field and make some plays in limited time....

I am so mad i missed that game!!!!!! FREAKING J-VILLE SUCKS!!!!! i was there for family. AND i go into a bar and they start booing me and my welker jersey!!!! Freaking Steelers fans. What the hell do they care their teams sucks!!! so i left and heard it on the radio. I REALLY wanted to see manny play!!! thank nub for the highlights at least!!!

Yea, that crybaby impressed me! HE looks tough out there. THey couldn't really block him.

I watched the game again last night, and there were at least 2 or 3 other plays that manny blewup the man in front of him and was in the backfield but the play was run wide to the outside or away from him. If the play had been anywhere near him he would have made a big play.

I disagree. Why draft a DT when we have so many more important needs. We have been good on the d-line, but our secondary gets shredded. We need a qb, WR, safety, and cb all much more than we do a DT.

The question was... "do we need to draft a DT?".... I think we will continue to draft a DT in just about every draft... do we need CB's, QB, WR, LT.... no question.... I assume we'll draft some of them as well....

I agree with that, but the guy didn't seem to even try to block him. It was nice to see him out there holding his own though.
