Is it me or does he look about 25-30 pounds lighter? He is moving much better as well. He actually looks in shape. His gut isn't hanging out of his shirt either. Eddie Moore seems to be playing well too. Rosenfels has a great arm. This is my first chance to watch the game so forgive the lateness. :goof:
 
I think this kid is a great project. He has the size and talent to be a very big time player. He is very young and very raw. We knew that when we drafted him. He can contribute as a situational sub right now but in 1 to 2 years I think he'll be considered amongst the best young linemen in the league. He will still only be 23 in 2 years. He is improving.
 
The one thing that i look at is steady progress. Ever since he came to camp he has progressed with baby steps. (no pun intended) I don't know about calling him one of the best in the league in a few years, but i will say i am happy we got him and i look forward to when those little steps all add up.

exactly.. he could take 5 years to develop and still only be 26..

Great to hear. Saban has a reputation as a very good motivator, and remeber he only cost us a 5th rounder and it was next years pick so in effect we have as extra year to develop him. Very good value IMO.
 
With Vickerson out, Mannys Role will be bigger this season. Which i like because by next year he should be ready for a strong role in our defense. manny, roth, crowder, and daniels could all be starting and playing strong by next season. hows that for rebuilding?
 
Yea Wright did look pretty good in the Falcons game.He looked pumped and motivated.
 
...and with Vickerson healthy next year, we could have Taylor, Wright, Vickerson and Roth as the front four. Not a bad D-Line!!
