As a sidenote, I'll pass on this info: Manny Wright is not doing well in the offseason program. He's not in good shape and he's ticking off some of the people in the organization. Jason Cole 5/03/06

Funny thing is, today Barry Jackson (from the same paper) wrote the following:

Defensive tackle Manny Wright, hoping to earn playing time, tells us the Dolphins ''are putting a lot of extra attention toward me'' in hopes of developing him. ``I like that. It shows they care about me.''

Besides meeting regularly with Saban, Wright spends several days a week reviewing tape with defensive line coach Dan Quinn: ``Dan has basically taken the role of my stepdad. He's taken me under his wing.''

Wright, who weighed 365 in July, said last month he wants to lose 10 pounds to get to 330. Forced to tears by Saban last summer, Wright says the coach still gets on him, but ``our relationship has developed. He rides me, but it doesn't really bother me anymore. He wants to see me reach my full potential. He wants my role to increase.''

Jason Cole really gets on my nerves. Even though he does a decent job of being unbiased, it seems like everything he reports has a "glass half-empty" outlook.
 
Jason Cole is negative and depressed and Barry Jackson positive and excited. " go figure "
 
Sounds like Jason cole has'nt had any sex in a while.

Yeah, that makes sense cuz I'm sure the "actual player" is gonna come right out and admit how horrible he's doing.
 
QJason, I know several people will have this same question, but Jason Allen played Safety at Tenn, but is listed as CB on some draft boards. 1. Where do you think he will fit in best in Sabans defense CB or S? 2. If he is a CB, where do you rate him compared to the other top CB's in the draft. 3. A side question for you... Can a DT like Emanuel Wright play DE in a 3-4 scheme or does he need more pass rushing ability? What decides if a player is a better 3-4 DE or 4-3 DT? Thanks Jason.

A1. CB is always more valuable and the kid played about half his career at CB in college. 2. I don't know how to answer that. I know the kid was compared favorably to Michael Huff before the hip injury. That's high praise. 3. Manny Wright is best suited for a 4-3 defense because of his quickness. Generally, 3-4 DLs have to be a little more stout, particularly the NT. As a sidenote, I'll pass on this info: Manny Wright is not doing well in the offseason program. I have nothing against Wright. I hope he becomes a pro-bowl player cuz he's a phin. just an update i found on him is all and ofcourse you get the regular negative "i don't believe jason cole" and "barry jackson said this so your wrong" and "your wrong cuz Im smarter than you and so your wrong. wheres my lollipop?" feed back. its just info. I didn't make it i'm merely presenting it. you read the very information that I provide and then question the manner in which i provide it. i'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. take it as you will. everyone is a genius at finsheaven.com
