He has to be in football shape now, and with the direction the team is taking, wouldn't this be the oppurtune time to give him a shot?? Bring him in on 3rd and short situations, see if he can stuff the middle, whatever. I am extremely optimistic about this kid, probably too optimisitc, however, I would like to judge him based on actual reps, as opposed to camp reports, and 10 pre season plays.

Anyone know of his progress? Please enlighten me.

I have heard that Manuel is done to around 310 pounds now(he was something like 330 before). I don't think he will see the field much, if at all the remainder of the season. He is though the 4th DT on the depth chart, so if an injury happens, he will see some time.

I have a good feeling about him, and I am glad that we have him two years before he was supposed to enter the NFL.

Because of his speed and quickness, that's where I see him playing. Seymour is 310 and quick as a cat. How ya like this for down the road:

DE -- Carter
DT -- Haloti Ngata (#1 pick this year)
DE -- Wright

OLB -- Taylor
ILB -- Thomas
ILB -- Crowder
OLB -- Julian Peterson

YOWZA!

Manny Wright is the next Tim Bowens just give Manny time to develop.

He's not like Tim Bowens. Completely different talents, physical skills, and playing styles...
