Many of you continue to say corners are not needed

Corners are needed and here is why:

Madison
Haw
Howard
Edwards
Roundtree

That is all the healthy corners on the roster

Here are the safeties:

Eiland
Williams
Bell
Atkins
Bigby
Elam
Jones
Bua
Tillman
Hunt

There double the number of safeties. If for any other reason, there needs to be players signed to practice. Expect it.

Remember that Roundtree is coming back from injury, and Haw was hurt during rookie mini camp, but not very seriously.

I did forget Daniels; that makes 6 total

Even with Daniels, 6 corners to practice with is not enough. Some teams will carry that many on their active roster.

:lol: By your logic then, we dont have a problem with the Oline because we have like 10-13 players on the roster at that position.

Take our CBs and add the amount of games they started.... do the same with the safeties. Thats why there is a problem at FS.

Stop making this same post.. We will probaly sign one more corner before camp.. You make it sound like our team will not function without signing a cornerback today.. I am sure you are a big supporter of sign Ty Law huh..

When you post on this message board there is a tendency for the dramatic. I am not that stupid. I generally know they will be fine. Just pushing my point. Nothing more or less.

Would kinda be like the message board version of Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.

We will sign some corners before camp as stated before. Theres no reason to panic. Season starts months down the road.
 
trust me, at the start of the season, the fins will have at most 5 safeties.

you can try to get 1 to play CB, but he wont be that good.

after madison, the 4 remaining CBs are questionable. but it wont hurt to much if you blitz alot. (like the eagles).

I would like to edit myself, I made some mistakes. Currently we have 15 guys on the roster that play Oline, so we dont have an Oline problem. :lol:

Here is the breakdown of our secondary and the games they have STARTED at that position.... maybe off by +/- 2 or 3 games.

CBs: 268 total games STARTED
Madison: 123 ...our starting CB
Howard: 57 ...our and Carolina's starting CB
Edwards: 73 ... starter with TB and Dallas as CB and nickel/dime back
Poole: 15 ... started as nickel/dime for 14 games and 1 game as #2 CB
Roundtree: 0
Mitchell: 0 Rookie
Daniels: 0 Rookie
Haw: 0 Rookie

S: 110 games STARTED
Eiland: 0 Rookie
Williams: 0 Rookie
Bell: 0 ... no starts, always injured, played in 13 games.
Akins: 0 Starts... was on roster for 61 games, but no starts
Bigby: 0 Rookie
Elam: 0 Rookie
Jones: 103...only one with experience
Bua: 0 Was a LB
Tillman: 7 starts, on roster for 41 games.
Hunt: 0 Rookie

Now you want to tell me we dont have a problem at safety? We have one guy who has started for a full season in Jones, ONE GUY! The rest are rookies or have had playing time but havent started.

Although we have 10 safeties on the roster, most of them have little or no experience. :lol:

i thought bell had a start last season. i must be mistaken. still just one :).
