Marcus Stroud to be dealt?

Just read on footballsfuture.com that the Jaguars are considering dealing Stroud for a 2nd round pick. The guy is a pro bowl DT that could anchor the 3-4 we're going to be running here in Miami. He's relatively young, I say if we deal the 2nd rd pick the chargers gave us to pick up a guy like this I think it would be a huge pick up. Trade for Stroud, draft Chris Long and then either a CB or LB with the other 2nd rd pick, and we'd be on our way to having a respectable defense again. What do you think?

With all these trade speculations, in everybodies scenario, our 2nd round draft pick has been dealt 15,000 times. Let's just draft youth, our own guys for once in the last 6 years. That is why the team is in such disarray as it is.

The rumor here in Jax is that Stroud will be dealt to Detroit for Shawn Rodgers. Stroud has seen better days health wise, he is not the player he was 2-3 years ago.

I agree it has been trading and wasting draft picks that have got us into this mess in the first place, (not that a 2nd for stroud would be a waste). But we definitely need to start valuing draft picks for what they mean to the franchise.

Well I totally understand about the draft picks and the value but let's be real do you want to spend another 2nd round pick on a Matt Roth? Now I know there a very good players that are picked in the 2nd round but it's not a guarantee on what you're getting. At least with a Stroud you have an idea of what you'd be getting. Now hey you can strike it big with a draft pick such as a 2nd rd but do remember you can completely miss just as easy.
