I havn't heard many people talk about him, usually they end camp with field goals. He made 6/6, the longest being around 60 yards. The last one was the longest, and he still nailed that with around 8 yards left to spare, the whole team crowded around him and cheered and lifted him up as if we just won the superbowl or something. Nice enthusiasam by the team, but yeah, Mare will be top ranked kicker this season.

Mare is a stud.

Too bad he wasn't a stud the last couple of years. I hope he has changed.
 
Good to hear.

I know he had nagging injuries last year, and he's totally healthy now. So hopefully that gets him back on track as one of the best in the NFL.

Maybe being healthy and seeing Turk competing with a young guy gave Mare a kick in the pants.
 
by the way, turk was switching up holding responsibilities in training camp, and he was still nailing them
 
anyone got any news on the young gun fighting with turk heard hes got great distance and hang time but heard his acuraccy is lacking still
 
It is nice to hear Mare is getting back on track. I always loved the guy, but the last 2-3 years have been big dissapointments for us fins. His lack-luster kicking, with his fat contract was getting scary. If he can start drilling those field goals again, and keeps driving the kickoffs like always Miami will have the edge on the field position game. Go Mare! Let's get another record season!
 
I just want us to get rid of that dirt from the baseball infield. thats where i think Mare struggles most.

:yeahthat: I couldn't agree more. Not just about Mare, but the whole works. I can't stand having that infield there. Man, I forgot about that. How depressing.
