i'm not a hater just a disbeliever that he was all that. i agree w/ this guy's post as someone who watched every dolphins playoff game that danny played in and i'm a big homer dolphins fan. 77.1 passer rating, 8 wins 10 losses in the playoffs. like i said in another post top 20 but not top 5. there is just too much worshipping at the dan alter for someone who never did good in the playoffs or even at the end of seasons. i thought the guys logic was right on and some of the facts back up what i have thought for years. and it's just an opinion so what can u do.

Just wow! A Phin fan who doesn't love Marino. Definately a first for me, I have never come across one. You're definately in the minority pal.
 
WTF is with this superbowl SH#T, damn well i dont care what those dumb ppl think about danny , hes god in my book , and that guy who posted in the espn forums must be a BILLS fan !!!
 
lmao, these idiots are probably cast offs from Jets fan websites, they dont even know enough about their own teams to know anything about the Dolphins. I dont care what these clowns think, they may hate Dan but there is no question in my mind they wish they had him.
 
i love marino, always will. but logically some of it makes sense
 
I love how the idiots on that forum, say Miami had the top 1 scoring defense in the league, that doesn't mean Miami had a good defense. Miami for most of Marino's career, had at best a mediocre defense not a great defense. Even if Miami had the number one scoring defense, that does not mean you have a good defense, that means the defense causes turnovers, and scores but it doesn't mean it stops the teams from scoring, or from putting up alot of yards, there were many games where Miami put up 30 points and still lost, like that shootout with Marino and the Jets, I think The qb was Ken O'Brien for them, the defense allowed Ken O'Brien for crying out load to put up 40 points or so I believe, the defense was getting killed in the superbowl against the Niners, yeah Marino didn't do much in that game but the Niners D had 6 dbs the whole game , becasue Miami's running game wasn't even close to being a threat. The Niners just teed off on Marino all game, blitzes etc. Even with that the Defense has got to make a stand at least a couple, but that clearly didn't happen. What good does it do, if the team has a top ranked scoring D, but allows an average of 24pts per game.
