fine i have saw someones reasoning, not you though, and we could drop culpepper and raiders might pick him up. carr goes to minn and we will get a QB either russel, i doubt, or Quinn. detroit probably will take russel and cleveland IS gonna take AP (100% sure) and then quinn will fall to us.
Honestly, of all the teams ahead of us, Cleveland actually scares me the most in terms of taking Quinn.
Oakland will most-likely take Russell. If anything they take CJ and then pick up Culpepper/Green/Carr. Brady Quinn doesn't fit the Raider image/mentality, and he's not an Al Davis guy (aka SUPER overrated
)
Detroit likes McCown, and Kitna is more than capable at QB, so they have 2 QBs, a veterent and a young guy, Quinn isn't a top need.
TB loves Calvin Johnson, and they don't need a QB anyway, they have Sims and Garcia and 37 other QBs on their roster.
The Cards have their franchise Qb in Matt Leinert so they aren't even an afterthought.
The 'Skins have Jason Campbell, who is a 1st rounder, so they don't need to invest ANOTHER 1st rounder in a QB.
The Vikings have Tavarius Jackson, whom they not only invested a 2nd-rounder but also traded up to get. He MAY not be the answer for them, but I can't see them spending a 1st rounder this year on a QB after spending that much last year, especially when Culpepper, Green, Carr are all on the market.
The Falcons have their franchise "QB" in Vick, so they don't need a QB.
The Browns however, they have me REALLY worried. For one, Crennell and Weis are good friends, so you know he has the most insider info on Quinn. They probably talk about him every single day. 2, they DO need a QB. RB may also be a a need, so Peterson IS an option, but they just signed Lewis so there is a temporary fix (and if he does good he could get a longer deal), and RB is MUCH easier to come by than QB. They could target Michael Bush in round 2 if they want a young RB, and still get Quinn in round 1. 3rd, Quinn is a "hometown hero". He grew up in Ohio, and was a Browns fan growing up (probably still is, it's just not wise to say that when 31 other teams could draft you). Drafting him would do for the browns what Vince Young WOULD have done for the Texans. Revive their fanbase and respark the interest and following, not to mention solve their QB problem.
All those reason are why they have me REALLY nervous and I would LOVE to move up to number 2 just to ease my mind, but I'm on the fence about what we'd have to give up and if I'm willing to invest that much in one guy. I also think if we move to #2 we take Quinn, not CJ. Yea, CJ is an amazing prospect, but we need a damn QB RIGHT NOW. No more signing late rounders or injured/washed up free agents. We need to invest in a damn young QB for the first time since Marino. Besides, Chambers is capable (as he has shown) if he just gets some routine and has one QB all year as opposed to QB musical chairs, and we just signed Az-Hakim (or however it goes), and we still have Booker who is adequate, plus Hagan, who has great potential. We could definately use another stud WR, but by no means is it a #2 overall pick priority.
