I viewed a clip of Dan Marino visiting Jim Kelly at a local hospital in Buffalo. what an amazing thing for Dan to do.to head up to Buffalo to see his sick friend in his hospital bed.Dan was a hero to me growing up and after watching this clip he still is my all time favorite pro athlete.
i wish i knew how to post videos so i could show you what an amzing moment it was.one persons actions can mean a lot to many
God bless u Mr.Kelly n ur family.

Dear allsilverdreams...

If you're too lazy to spell out words in your thread titles -- which you've done twice today, giving us a headache -- then don't start a new thread.

Best regards,

Everyone

The abbreviation is not a big deal...not ideal, but doesn't really matter.

These guys were fierce competitors on the field. I'm not surprised that they developed a friendship born out of mutual respect. Best of luck to you Jim Kelly. I hated you as a Bill but couldn't help but respect you as a player.

Best wishes to Jim to beat this insidious disease. Sadly having had too much family experiences with the ravages of chemo, I've become convinced that the likelihood of a long-term "gain" does not really justify the level of "pain" one must endure for that elusive glimmer of hope. Nevertheless Jim doesn't look too worse for wear and hopefully he'll beat the odds for full recovery with no relapses.

On a more positive note, Howard certainly looks very dapper!

Dear Mr. Walrus,

Do not say "everyone" when you give your own opinion in regards to the OP post. I, for one, do not care how the original poster conveyed his story. The writer is someone who has been porting here since 2007, with over 2000 post, so I think he deserves the right to initiate a post as he wishes...as long as is not offensive, or disrespectful to anyone here.

Best regards to you sir.

PHINSfan!

And by the way, I like the great human interest of the story. Really touching!
thanks allsilverdreams!

thanks for having my back guys.
i will try not to do anymore abbreviations in any further posts.just to keep the peace with my fellow Dolphin fans:)

I can't think of anything that encapsulates all that is the Internet more than a thread about a guy visiting a friend who is battling CANCER gets hijacked to bitch about Internet etiquette.

The game of life is much bigger than any football game. I know there is a lot of respect between these guys.

lot of classy people on this sight.
i worked at the hospital where Kelly is being treated.Everyone that i knew was aware that i was a die hard Dolphins fan.amd that Marino was my hero.it would have been really amazing if i could have bumped into Dan.

too bad that neither player gets the respect they deserve as a player because they never won a championship.
Two of the best qb's of all time. I would take either of them over Elway any day
