I am just curious, does anyone know how far behind Brett Favre is in all major passing records held by Marino???

Just wondering, because I unfortunately work with a huge Packers fan, and we always argue about this issue - how great Marino is compared to Favre.

Thanks.

i think he's 24 TD passes behind.

pretty sure that's the only one he's really close to.

Yes.
420 tds for Marino
396 tds for Favre

That's the only one he'd have a shot at this season.

Marino owns Favre. The story on Danny boy is that he could put the ball where only the receiver can get it. Could thread the needle.

Favre tries to and is often successful, but also often throws interceptions.

Marino had a few seasons of over 20 picks, but not many. Favre seems to be collecting them lately.

Favre also doesn't perform as well in the "comeback" category either.

29 interceptions. Enough said.

Well, while I agree that Marino is better than Favre, I don't think one season makes that argument--Marino was pretty bad in 1999, remember.

It wasn't as lopsided as Favre's. And plus he was good enough to drag a pretty mediocre offense into the divisional round of the playoffs.

why don't you look this stuff up yourself? it's easy enough to find.

Because it's not an opinion you can merely formulate with statistics, and he's curious to see what our opinions are?

doesn't look like he's asking any opinions here... just for information he wants others to provide...

the second part is asking for opinions on the information he didn't feel like looking for. Opine away....

my bad...missed the first sentence.

I suggest pro football reference (forget the website address) for easy to access stats, although they can't be completely guaranteed for accuracy

Listen, I'm at work right now, and I was looking for a quick answer to a co-worker. I now this is the place to get quick info. I don't think it is asking too much nitwit.

coincidence, I think not

Marino retires with 420 TDs. Hmmmmmmm:goof:

Farve may go down to many other no Phin fans as a greater QB for one simple reason. He has a championship, Marino does not. Sucks, but it is what it is.

The only record I know of is the all-time TD's record. And it is somewhere around 20-30 that he is behind. Enough that he just needs to post one more season like he has been doing all his career, or put up two lack-luster seasons. But I am praying he doesn't manage it.
