I don't think one has to cancel out the other. But D-Wade is already on the level of Dan as far as infamy with the city of MIA

This will always be a football town and I think Marino is always going to be the sentimental favorite of sports fans down here.
Also, even though Wade has a ring and in my opinion is already an all time great, Marino is considered to be one of the very top players at the most prestigious positiond in all of sports. Many of us would say he's the best QB of all time. As great as Wade is, he will never be considered the greatest 2 guard ever. I don't know that it means anything in terms of affection from the city but I just think being a legendary QB is such a big deal.

not the past 6 years...football as been a castastrophe until parcells and crew arrived...dwade was the one person this city could turn to for sports...i love the dolphins, the heat, and the marlins. but dwade was the only good thing coming out of south florida for awhile. he might not be dan but he as filled the shoes quite nicely for the 305.
