Mark Cuban Might Buy Cubs?

He might buy the Cubs, the Pirates, he might start his own football league, he might even buy the Penguins with Dan Marino.

Pffft. I don't beleive in these stories from him anymore.
 
I don't know why he'd buy a baseball team. It'd be much harder to argue with the umps in baseball than in basketball.
 
Mark this down in the things that won't happen category. Owning a MLB team is like joining a club, he can apply for membership but he ain't getting in the club.
 
Hes doing what Jerry Colangelo did. The Suns couldn't win a championship for anything, so Colangelo went out and got a baseball team, and spent a ton of money to finally win a trophy, and it worked...

Yup, there's no way the other owners will let him own a team, which is too bad because minus him being a hot head he might actually be a pretty good owner.

If I was a Cubs fan I'd be ELATED if he was able to buy the team.

Sure, he's a pompous attention whore. That said, he's a smart guy who wants to win. Look at the Mavericks before he bought them, they were a trainwreck who could not sell out a high school gym, now they are a model NBA franchise. He treats his players very well and they want to win for the guy because of this.
 
he's got the money where if he wants in, he will get in.

I can see him owning a team (eithePitt or Cubs) very very soon. Money talks with these people and he has it! A whole lot of it
