These are the two players we're targeting today, with our interest in Washington being as an ILB in the 3-4.

Atlanta are very hot for Jared Gaither.

But, BOOM, are we planning on using a draft pick or waiting to jump on them as undrafted free agents? What do you hear/think?

Just wondering...

If we traded our 2008 5th (possibly 4th) for Trent Green... does it mean that those picks are unavailable for us to use in the Supp. draft this year? How does that work?

Or, if we ended up using our 4th, and the Chiefs are rewarded our 4th next year, does that mean they move up and get our 3rd as compensation??? That would be bad.

Mark Washington/DE-LB/Texas State University: The Arizona State University transfer worked out Tuesday in Los Angeles. He measured in at 6-foot-2 and 257 pounds, a few pounds heavier than expected. His marks included 4.77 to 4.81 seconds in the forty, 4.43 seconds in the short shuttle, 31 inches in the vertical jump, and 25 completed reps of 225 pounds on the bench. The New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Miami Dolphins were on hand for the workout. Of the four teams, the 49ers and Dolphins have shown the most interest. As previously reported, the 49ers brought Washington into their facility for an interview and exam last Monday. The Dolphins

Do you think that we'll make any kind of a run for Gaither or Oliver? Any idea what round the Falcons will bid for Gaither?

Mueller is a speed freak, and oliver is lacking in that department...

Jim, I think Oliver's question marks over speed and technique will rule him out. Gaither....I would like to think we were interested, but I don't know. Falcons? I'm hearing day 1.

Our 5th is unavailable...Chiefs officially own it. Out 4th (eventhough its conditional) is still ours and could be used.

If we use our 4th, and TG earns the conditions to be a 4th, we would get our 5th back before the 2008 draft, and the Chiefs would get/own our 4th in 2009.

However, if we use our 4th in this supp, and TG doesnt earn the conditions, our 5th remains with Cheifs. Therefore we would not have a 4th or a 5th in the 2008 draft.

I'm kind of optimistic regarding Alabi/Toledo, but I wouldn't be opposed to taking Gaither in the 3rd. Risky, I know. But what an upside.

Hey Boom, can you give us a scouting report on the two guys we are interested in? Could you see them make any kind of impact down the road or are they just projects?

How long will it take for these free agents to sign on with a team? Will they sign quickly like UDFA after the real draft, or will they first take visits to teams and then decide?
