you never know, they are only 2 1/2 games out.

Yeah with this in mind, does any one when it is that The New Stadium is gonna be built for those World Series Champs? That way the infield will never be an issue again (THANKFULLY)

Sorry marlins fans but get the hell out of our stadium already. Why can't you just be bad!!!! (just kidding go marlins) But seriously I don't want to wait till 2007 to keep dealing with dirt and no giant miami logos in the endzones.

I'm not sure if that's enough time to get rid of the dirt. Didn't we have an instance in the last few years where there was only a few days between the Marlins game and the Dolphins game and the grounds crew couldn't get the sod down and ready to go? I would anticipate having the dirt for the Steelers game, but hopefully not any longer (sorry to any Marlins fans out there).

can they have the field ready with all grass in just 3 days?

I am personally not a baseball fan. All my friends could tell you that last year I was complaining the entire season for the Marlins to lose. They never did, and it was horendous. I really hope they cannot make up that 2 1/2 games.

Even if the Marlins are eliminated by then, a newly sodded field will require more than two days to take hold.

The re-sodding of the infield won't take place until after the Steelers game.

A lot of people were predicting an early end to the Marlin season last year. They are only 2 games behind for a wildcard berth so anything is posible.

I will remind you that both teams play in the dirt.It should be an advantage for the home team who get to practice more on it.

that dirt doesnt matter much when mare is missing kicks from the grass part of the field. i.e. saturday

He probably practiced too much off the dirt and that grass threw him off... ;)

Maybe so, but my main concern with the dirt infield is players getting injured b/c of it. Ask Ed Perry and Alfonso Roundtree. No baseball is worth even one Dolphin getting hurt as far as I am concerned.

As long as the Marlins are in the race, they won't resod the field.
