It's pretty scary how similar these two players are, roughly the same height, weight, 40, VJ and production. They both show(ed) more quickness than speed. Their highlights at USC are very similar as well, similar routes, a lot of body catches, runs after the catch, etc.

Don't we already have this player on our roster?

if we are going to draft a WR let's get a skillset that differentiates itself such as size/catching radius like Benjamin, Matthews or Robinson would provide or speed/playmaking ability that Beckham or Cooks would provide.

Don't like Mathews, I feel he is going to have trouble getting seperation at the next level. He will be an easy cover for at least the first two years. I like Cooks and Beckam both better. Not a big fan of WRs from USC so I don't like Lee, not in the first any way. If he is still there in the 2nd I think you would have to take either of them.

Your WR pick @ 19 is Martevis Bryant...Maquise Lee is a stunt!

not even sure why this is being brought up...lee is a terrific route runner who has serious open field running skills and rac big play potential although not a burner he plays what he times...there is some legitimate concern about separation there but the route runnings so clean it makes up for a lot of it for me...he tracks the football well down the field and adjust to it also...he doesn't handle physical coverage all that well and that's something that at his size may be an issue..next year top 20 pick ekpre olumu of oregon pretty much handed him his lunch with physical play in their game in 2013...that kid would have given any corner in this current class a run for their money as the top guy off the board...

williams was a bad prospect coming out...didn't have him on my board...couldn't separate showed no burst pretty much what he's shown as a wr in the pros...his rookie year production was a product of tennessee having nothing at the position and yeah someones gonna get the snaps and see the ball and that someone was him...

he's been a marginal nfl wr since he came in the league...as a returner he's ehhh also...

I would have a huge issue if Miami took Lee and Cooks was on the board.

I am still not sure where a receiver would help this year exactly. Who are they pushing out for PT?

cooks projects more in the slot...a bigger tavon austin type slot...and that's a lot to like...miami already has 2 other slot options in gibson for the east west and mathews for the vertical...so i can't see us going there

new york at 18 is a likely landing spot anyways...even though they have a solid slot already he's just not the explosion and burst athlete cooks is...i'm not saying that's all cooks will play but i would bet that he would do a majoroity of his work lined up on the inside

Cook is explosive and a playmaker, but Lee is absolutely perfect for this offense.

I agree Cooks goes to the Jets FWIW.

Plus, in such a deep draft of receivers, I am confused why every wants to jump on at 19, when the line, LB's and DB's are all of more need AND might be graded higher than a Marquise Lee.

If Mosely and Martin are gone....one of the WR would be a much better value...

scuttlebutt is that if martin is gone miami looks to trade down and takes bitonio...i like the player but the only thing i will say about that is if it fails at tackle right tackle with albert here i don't see the strength to kick inside and not get tossed around...22 reps of 225 doesn't lend itself to a anchor guy...i get that strength can be built up but i would expect some issues when matched up against strength inside...in the early going at least...martin did 29 reps as a comparison

more plug and play at tackle than guard imo...bitonio shows as a very effective cut blocker in space...

whether or not i buy that current scuttlebutt or not is another thing though...if they do end up trading down and taking bitonio you can bet your sweet ass that all that "i take bpa" stuff from hickey was hot air...that would be a need pick as much as anything..the only thing he'd be doing is moving to where the grade matches the need and forgoing bpa

I was expecting Marqise Lee to be significantly better than Williams. There is a reason why Lee is seen as a 1st round draft pick and rated among the top WRs in collegiate football. He is regarded as a very polished route runner. They are a comparable physical size and speed, but Lee needs to be significantly better to warrant his mock draft status.
