If I remember correctly, Douglas is a 3-4 end and Eugene Wilson can be a very effective safety when he stays on the field.

Are we forgetting about Rod Wright here? Sheesh. No, seriously, I love all the depth being added to the DL. Something we lacked last year.

The interest in Marques Douglas is telling. Nominally, DE doesn't look like a major need with Starks, Holliday, Rod Wright and Roth. Signing another DE who's likely going to demand serious bucks suggests that we're not overly happy with either Holliday (who got a 10 million guaranteed extension last year) or Roth. Should we indeed sign Douglas you'd have to wonder if the new FO has decided to cut ties with at least one of them. Matt Roth looks like the odd man out in that picture because he might just be better suited as a 4-3 end and hasn't exactly lived up to his 2nd round status yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the block in the next couple of days.
