Marshall Faulk

Been away from the game too long. I don't think he'll be able to handle a full load. Once you hit the panel (NFL Network) your career is done IMO.

Why tarnish a great image.

Rams | Faulk discusses health, future
Mon, 29 Jan 2007 10:21:29 -0800

Bryan Burwell, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams RB Marshall Faulk (knees) has yet to decide whether he will return to the playing field in the future. The 33-year-old Faulk is bothered by troublesome knees and is not sure when he would be physically ready to play again. "It's all health-related," Faulk said. "I have my good days, and I have my bad days. I want to make sure I am ready. And right now I don't know if I'm ready. But I want to play again. I'm not saying I'm going to be the guy who had all those 2,000-yard-plus seasons, because I'm not. But I can still play the game; I know I can. The question is whether or not this knee will be good enough to allow me to." Faulk noted that he would only return to play if it is for the Rams, even with former head coach Mike Martz now in Detroit. "I love Mike," Faulk said, laughing, "I really do. But Mike doesn't own any team, does he? So that's the end of that."

Will it be with St Louis? B/C Stevie Jackson won't be liking that if he is thinking of going back to the Rams

He's great on TV. He might not want to leave that job now.

If the guy wants to play then more power to him. I hope a team (The Rams I guess) dont sign him just for his name though. If he can prove that he can contribute then I dont see the problem.

He said he wanted to stay in St. Louis, but I'm sure he'd be open to going elsewhere.

I wonder what capacity he'll want to come back as. Figure him to be like Priest Holmes. Priest knows KC is the Larry Johnson show now, so maybe he'll accept a limited role. I don't think S Jax would have a prob with that. Plus Faulk will probably retire a Ram anyway.

And plus Marshall is a great Reciever, so he can be used in the same role that his cousin is used in N.E., but I agree with PATSSUCK456 he should just quit now while he's still known as one of the all time best.
