Couldn't agree more. We have one of the most threatening best WR in the league & not using him like a Andre or Calvin Johnson, Fitzgerald, even Holmes... look how the Jets make him such a big play WR. Brandon could be even more effective or equal to these "elite" bunch of WRs. But like every other position, MISUSED & UNDER-UTILIZED.
O-Line - There's talent there, but they're not clicking
WRs - Very few plays are being called to play to Marshall, Bess, Hartline etc strengths.
RB - D-Thomas was great this week, but Reggie needs to be on the field w him & be running off tackles, coming off a block into the screen pass & that alone would keep away the 3rd & long's
Finally the Defense - I think we all can see this 3-4 is NOT working. Last year in the 4-3 we were 6th overall. There's NO pass rush, & NO coverage. Bc Vontae, Sean, Will are man guys & we don't have Ed Reed back at Safety. So When they have to check off their guy, we have 2 or 3 DBs lost, 2 or 3 LBs lost, & openings all over the field. Even if Jones was Reed-like, he cannot be expected to cover 3-4 WRs coming at him. The zone is just not working in any area. In 2 games each QB had about 5 to 10 seconds w/o pressure, & our DBs running around clueless where they should be after checking off their WR, leaving open gaps for the WRs. Does Nolan not see this? Or is he just gonna force it in until it works... if it ever does. We had a dominant D w the same group running the 4-3. So unless we WANT to throw the season away, it's time to use this D the way it was meant to be. 4-3. The 3-4 will cost us the season, & along w Sapp, other players jobs when it's not them, it's the system.
A 3 or 4 man pass rush? What a waste. Not having Davis & Smith glued to man coverage - Waste.
