Marshall talks about the trade, continues to diss Matt Moore.

:err: Ok.....

Big Bro, the fact is that Brandon had more negative contributions than just dropped passes but I will say this, at least 4 of those TD passes that he dropped appeared to be very accurate! All I am saying is that Brandon needs to own up to his part in the deal. All of his talk seems to be centered around the QBs not being good enough while lacking the things that he could have done to help the situation. QB play is important. There's no doubt about that. Any team certainly wants to have a productive QB and I think that the Miami staff has stated that there has to be some improvement in that area. The thing that I keep mulling over is that they basically gave Brandon away for peanuts. If Miami honestly felt that the lack of a QB was the root cause of all of the offensive problems, as Brandon seems to keep hinting at, do you think that they would have just let him go for 2 third round picks? Just asking....
Ya man, def not sticking up for BM! You are exactly right, there is blame to share. However, regardless of how you feel about BM....he is not the only one who talked about the QB position. The owner, GM, and new head coach all said that upgrading the QB position was a PRIORITY! This combined with our use of the number 8 pick on a QB should send a pretty clear picture to these people who think Moore played well. He did not play well, he had good stats....there is a difference. If he had played well, you wouldn't have your star receiver, then more importantly your owner, GM, and head coach saying upgrading the QB position is a PRIORITY. I am sure it has something to do with Henne though, right Vaark?

Yes, they both sucked.....but Moore sucked on his own. Why do you always have to bring up Henne every time someone says something bad about Moore. It is like talking about Bush every time someone says something bad about Obama. The fact is Moore averaged less than 200 yards per game, had fumbles that cost us at least 3 games, and could not win in close games last year despite multiple opportunities. This has nothing to do with Henne and has everything to do with Moore, so why bring up Henne? You look like a clown every time you do it. Moore has fumble problems, you only say that because of Henne. Moore averaged less than 200 yards passing per game, you only say that because of Henne, Moore did not win one close game last year despite multiple chances, awwww you are just saying that because of Henne. No Vaark, I am saying it because of Matt Moore.

For the record, Henne was playing a lot better before getting hurt in an offense very new to the team and on a team as a whole that was not playing well. Funny when looking at that post of Bess and Hartline catches from last year, who the QB was for most of the good throws....and it wasn't Moore.

Scoreboard.. one guy wins, makes offensive player of the week, throws up a couple of 300yd games, has his teammates inspired and enthusiastic on the sidelines and the other doesn't!! Why do I keep bringing Henne up when it comes to your posts attacking Moore you wonder? I don't know if I can say this any clearer: your conveniently-revised stance is "Yes they both suck" however I have screen captures of you defending Henne right up until the time he went down in week 3, at that point you being very much in a minority

Even when most everyone else stopped sharing your opinion of him, seems like most every time Henne got criticized you'd arrive lickety split defending him and blaming everyone else. I keep bringing him up when you are criticizing Moore because it's bizarre how you have immediately reversed roles, now attacking Moore with the same passion and regularity that you defended Henne. Doesn't matter that he had the same crap to work with. Just Bizarre.

Consequently, it wasn't hard to conclude in fact that you and your own credibility were so heavily invested in Henne's success that as some sort of rationalization or coping mechanism, you exchanged your infatuation of him for hatred of the guy who actually came in and ended up making Henne look as bad by comparison as he really was. So yes I bring up Henne because your love for him right up until his last snap when most everyone else knew he was not the answer definitely puts into question your objective judgment and motivation when you now fixate as negatively on Moore, on a guy who actually put up wins for a dispirited and downtrodden team Henne helped create, who inspired his teammates, demonstrated leadership that Henne never did - as previously you did positively on Chad. Sorry but it is what it is.

He is not a typical WR. Yeah, he drops passes, and does strange things downfield like run out of bounds or tackle himself. But look how Denver used him. Bubble screens and 0-3 yard passes. If we had used him that way, he would have done very well, I think.

I'm not saying he's a great WR, or "true #1", or anything...I'm just saying that if he is utilized properly, he will have a good season.

Even at Denver, he wasn't a great TD producer and why they felt him expendable (aside from his other non-football issues). He's a stat producer in every WR category except for TDs. He did the same for us last year with the 'not very good' QBs he complains about where he was responsible for at least 5 dropped TD passes...not just drops, but dropped TD passes, where the ball was catchable and he was in position to make a play. 81 receptions, 1214 yrds are great numbers but add in only 6 TDs caught and 5 more dropped and you've got superficial stats that don't mean much to a team...

I don't talk about Henne, you do when statements about Moore are made and I respond to them accordingly. You seem to be the one stuck on Henne as some sort of crutch for your boys struggles. Bottom line is it doesn't matter what you or I think about Moore, it matters what the coach and Miami leadership think. I think their words and more importantly their actions speak for themselves.

That's my only point. Brandon needs to shut up. Moore vs. Henne? I ain't in that. Although, I will say that I am happy that we had Moore on the roster when Henne went down. The team did get behind him and showed some promise. Still, QB play has to improve.

I think this article just further proves why Marshall needed out of Miami
