With Seattle and Marshawn Lynch in contract squabbles it got me thinking about a trade. I know it's highly unlikely, but hey it's the offseason and everything is on the table. Chances are probably 99.9 percent that the beast ends up back in Seattle for another super bowl run.

But, if the Seahawks decide to make a trade what would you give up for Lynch? He does have a lot of wear on the tires so to speak and likely wouldn't want to go to a team that would be a huge surprise to go deep into the playoffs. Stranger things have happened, though.

Lynch to me wouldn't be worth a #1 or #2 simply because of age. Maybe a player and a pick? Thoughts?

Lynch is playing a losing poker hand. He will be on the field against the packers on his current contract after he figures that out

I don't think it would happen under any circumstances, but Lynch would replace Thomas, no doubt about that.

Lynch has absolutely zero leverage here. I'm usually always one to stick up for players in situations like this, but Seattle just gave Lynch a very nice contract for a RB. Lynch should be happy with his 5 mil, because the market dictates that he's worth less; comparisons to Charles are unwarranted. Charles is younger, and KC doesn't have Turbin and Michael sitting behind him. As a 30 y/o RB with a ton of carries in the last three seasons, no one is giving him more money. I'd expect Seattle to let Lynch save some face here and collect the money he's missing my sitting out, but they're prepared to move on without him.

Miami desperately needs a RB in the mold of Lynch, but he's a bad gamble at this point of his career.

I'm not so sure. The increase in Jamaal Charles' pay worked really well for him and that was only a few days ago. It appears that the top end of the RB market is being flexed by tough negotiators. Carroll knows that Marshawn carried a lot of the workload last season and without Beastmode, Russell Wilson won't be so great. I think it's possible that Lynch either gets a greater guaranteed amount or maybe an extension.
What's the worst that can happen? He comes back to work with his tail between his legs, but there is a possibility that he can squeeze a bit more.

lynch would be instant beast mode but he ain't coming. Yes, I want him...

hey guys, I hear the steelers aren't going to give big ben a new contract until after the season. Maybe Miami can pick him up!!!!!
