The Palm Beach Post suggests that Dolphins TEs David Martin and Justin Peelle could be on the roster bubble this summer.

Martin is an injury-prone former wideout who drops too many balls. He's not a Bill Parcells-type player. Peelle is moreso, but Miami already signed a blocking specialist in Sean Ryan and Anthony Fasano can play on three downs. Martin is due $830,000 in 2008 pay. Peelle makes $1.3 million.

The day Martin is cut, I get Drunk. I can't wait for the day that Martin picks up his bag and is sent packing. The guy sucked last year, he cannot block if his life depended on it. Peelle on the other hand is pretty effective, especially on the red zone. He is also a pretty good blocker and can play ST. Martin on the other hand flat out sucks

Watching Martin was one of the most frustrating things last year. He cost us so many first downs with his drops on 3rd and 5 that I thought I was going to explode a few times. Not only does he suck at catching his blocking was pretty poor as well. If Ronnie Brown wasn't such a well rounded blocker, we would of seen many more sacks thanks to the revolving door. I'm with the poster, when Martin is cut I am cracking open a cold one.

Peele is a bum - he is very overrated as a blocker. I watched him miss many blocks last year. That was a terrible signing. I say he gets shown the door first. Martin at least has upside as a pass cacthing TE. They are both probably going - Fasano is the starter - they say BP loves him. Ryan is the backup unless someone surprises which is unlikely.

That move just shows you how clueless last year's staff was. Let sign a guy who wasn't productive TE when he was being thrown to by Farve, and expect him to be threat on our football team.

In this league some team had to have the worst coaching and front office and last year it was us. I'm glad we don't have to see another year of cam and company. FYI I didn't capitalize his name on porpose it would be disgrace to English language to consider his name a proper noun!

I got bashed so badly last year because I said martin was a poor signing, he was not an upgrade or even an equal to mcMichael.

didn't cam cam say he was going to put up antonio gates like production with all the talent and potential he had? just another reason this guy is gone....

I guess I am just wondering what is taking so long for these guys to be shown the door.
must need some tackling dummies for practice.

Great news! They were both useless. Fasano and Ryan is an instant upgrade without even playing a down for us, they can't be worse or less productive.

The old regime must be sitting around going.."Woops!, those were bad moves... ahh! ..now that's how you do it. What the hell were we thinking"

i dont see Ryan as an upgrade over anybody

well I for one thought the randyman was a victim of bad coaching and two many revolving door qb's to get a rythum . hell just rand's colorful insight alone could have gotten us to the playoffs.
If i had to chose 5 favorite players it would have been the randyman, welker, ronnie and madison .
i think some dolphin fans resented the randyman because of all those knots he put on twinkletoes taylor .

Over these guys?..Yeah! For sure! Like i said before, he can't be worse or less productive or this new regime doesn't know what hell they're doing, right? Would you actually have more hope with the other guys playing TE? We've seen what they're capable of....:boohoo:

Peelle runs like he is stuck in mud. He is slower then hell. Martin flat out sucks. He can't catch the ball or block his way out of a wet paper sack. I would cut both of them.

I am getting a teensy bit sick of the David Martin talk. Was he good last year? Far from it. Will he get cut? Likely. Will he be cut TODAY? No. Tomorrow? No. This month? Most probably, no.

Rosters arent set until, quite literally, September. You dont just cut guys now for the sake of cutting them. We didnt exactly set the world on fire upgrading the position. Fasano is a definite improvement, but Sean Ryan is hardly a sure thing IMO. He signed a one-year, relatively inexpensive deal. He could easily be beat out by Peelle.

I dont know, I just feel like you are all itching to see him gone for nothing. This regime has preached COMPETITION. I have feeling the ones clamoring for him to be cut would be the first ones complaining when he catches on and succeeds with another team. See: Donald Lee.

Over Ryan yes, at least Martin has shown he can actually make a team, he sucks yes but so does Ryan.
