I think when Martin went to his lawyer parents about it, they acted to protect there son by flexing there lawyer muscles, and probably pushed him to turn this into something it didn't need to become.

Lawyers love to flex, my guess is in trying to protect him, and show off there own muscle, they got Martin involved in something he never wanted a part of. I truly don't believe Martin ever wanted anything like this to happen, once the dominos started falling it just got ugly.

There are definitely more voicemail messages, I'm sure.

But on the flip side, parents often make terrible decisions when their kids are involved, due to emotion. Seen it too many times. Heck, it's happened with my folks when I was younger. I think that if my read on the situation is correct (and it may damn well not be), the Martins and his agent have badly mangled this thing and only caused more harm to Jonathan.

It amazes me that all of you rush to the defense of Incognito. From my perspective, he is a bullying thug who harassed Jon Martin one too many times and the team is better off without him. Martin is the victim and has probable mental health issues.

No it isnt. All this means is Martin felt pressured to laugh it off. The "pressured" part is key. Because feeling that sort of pressure is a sign of a hostile work environment.

Im getting a chuckle at everyone who thinks theyve found a silver bullet. Not even close. If a women laughs at harassment from her boss in front of her coworkers, she can still sue. Easily.

If this were to reach the courtroom(it wont), a judge would find the voicemails, the coaches instructions, and the hospital visit to have a lot more weight then Martin gritting his teeth and smiling when surrounded by his teammates.

Theres a reason why the Dolphins organization wanted everyone to keep quiet. Comments like the one Clabo made("shoulda been a man") are going to give Martin a lot more ammo then take away from him.
