If you were in our organization would you trade for Mathis and draft Lewan with our 19 if he falls.
 
i dont think i would trade for mathis, but i might take lewan. I am a die hard wolverine fan, and all this talk of his "off field issues" is a joke. He is a stand up guy, and would be a STUD RT. I don't think I would trade for mathis because I'm not sure it is worth it for us to trade a 3rd round away, and this is all assuming that it would be for a 2014 draft pick. I suppose for a 2015 I might do it. We only have 6 picks in this draft, which is suppose to be the deepest in 10 years. Not top heavy deep, but depth deep. So that 3rd round is gonna be very important. Also this is all assuming Shelley Smith plays LG, and we find someone in draft or one of our young guys steps up to play the easiest position on the team besides punter RG.
 
Lewan would be awesome however after the whole incognito thing idk if they'd consider lewan. He's known for being a dirty player. Although talent wise if e does fall to 19 I highly doubt we pass on getting great talent that late.
 
Only if it were like a 7th rounder in 2015 would I trade for Mathis. His age makes this more of a high priced rental than a solution. But Lewan? Yeah, he's the best football player we could hope to get at 19. From what I've seen of the supposed off the field issues ... it's looking like more smoke than fire. That could change ... but so far I haven't really seen any hard evidence of anything. He is the best LT prospect in this draft right now, and given Albert's injury history I'd love to get a guy who could cover for LT as well as be a dominant RT in both pass pro and run blocking. Yeah, I'd take Lewan.

Zack Martin looks like he could be a stud LG, but IMHO, he's not the tackle prospect that Lewan is at LT or RT.
 
i think brenner can fill in at the other guard spot. He played well at times last year
 
Brenner could be a pretty good guard for us, if we give him another shot this year. with a year under his belt, and he did show us he could be good at times last year!
 
I would sign Wharton. Both are old, but Wharton wouldnt cost us a needed pick.

As for Lewan, if there we BETTER take him. I dont care about off the field stuff. He is a top 10 talent at a position of need.
 
Mathis, depending on the compensation, is interesting. Great fit and player.

I'd go no on Mathis. Seems obvious we'd give Lewan a long look should he get to 19.

Just say no to Lewan.
