If Manning is healthy the very best he is going to do is another 5 years playing,with maybe 3,4 good years.Noww,dont get me wrong,I love Manning,even said we should consider him if we are healthy.I think with Manning healthy and add a piece or two we would be a legitimate title contender,and yes I am very serious,I think we have a lot better team than many thinks and our biggest problems have been in the QB department.And for the record,I was pissed when we didnt sign Brees as well.
Now,with that said,I do think Flynn is going to be a very good QB and not like Kolb ! And I think he can be a QB that plays well and can lead a team for the next 11 years or so,so if we can get him,I definitely would be for getting him. I agree that I am tired of these QB's that are no good and only back-ups that we keep getting,but I dont put Flynn in that category,because I really think he is a good QB,and I would take the shot with him. I dont want to miss out on him like we did Bree's. If we dont get Flynn,or move up to get either Luck or RG 3 in the draft,then Manning is healthy,we go after Manning and work our *** off the next 3 years trying to get his replacement in place.
One other thing,I saw the thread the other day where somebody who didnt know what in the hell they were talking about said the QB isnt that big a deal like we make it out to be.I was busy and unable to comment on that thread then,but Im going to here ! Who-ever he was,are you crazy as hell ?!!!!!
What the hell has this team done AT ALL since Marino has been gone ? Look at the Broncos since Elway left !!!!! You lose a star QB,you better be grooming and planning for there replacement and hopefully have them in line ! Thats why I think the Colts are actually smart in looking for the future and going after Luck ! They are planning for the future AFTER Manning is gone,something we didnt do,and have paid for it ever since !!!!!
