I'm actually thrilled at how well this is working out for us. The Manning thing is the BEST thing that could have happened to this franchise. It looks like Manning is going to SF now, which means that Seattle is going to hold off on Flynn and see if they can pick up Alex Smith.
Remember right after we hired Joe Philbin and everyone was concerned there would be an outrageous bidding war for Flynn's services? That Green Bay might even franchise tag him and demand a first round pick in trade? Now it looks like we're going to be able to get the guy we've been targeting all along for cheap.
That leaves us with money to sign Anderson or Winston. Maybe both if Winston's price continues to plummet.
Let the national media talk about how great the Bills are for signing Mario Williams and Ryan Fitzpatrick to bank breaking contracts, and conveniently ignore the laughable contract extension the Jets gave Sanchez. Let them trash us... as we make out like bandits.
