People wanted to fire everyone after we missed on Matt Flynn. He doesn't get the starting job in Seattle but know one wants to point that out. We got are QB in draft in the First Round after a lot of people wanted us to do for YEARS but no credit there. To many people focus on the Neg way to much and forget the things you wanted us to do for years is happening right in front of you. Finally had a GM not trade a 2nd or take someone else QB and pay him a bunch of money not to even start. If you are going to give the GM hell you have to give Credit also.

Just goes to show you what alot of the armchair GM's think. Half the board was wrong and the other half was right. Flynn is garbage and 2 good games against the leagues worst secondaries does not make a quality NFL starter. Thank god we didnt sign this guy!

Now honestly, Do you really expect this fanbase to give this FO credit for that call?

You're not going to see a lot of threads on the Seattle QB situation cause this is a Miami Dolphins forum. Seattle did exactly what anyone here who wanted Flynn would have wanted. Which is take a short term flier on him and still draft a QB. You think Seattle regrets signing Flynn? Nope. They're thrilled Wilson is such a bad ass that he flat out won the job. They only committed short term money to Flynn for 2 years. Now they have QB depth where they once only had Tarvaris Jackson and can either hold on to Flynn or maybe flip him to a QB desperate team. Taking a gamble on Flynn didn't sink their team at all and they let the best player earn the job.

Who? The majority opinion was that if we didn't sign him, it was likely because Philbin didn't think he had it. Stop exaggerating.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, it's not that Flynn has looked bad for Seattle, it's that Russell Wilson has just looked that good. If Wilson was 6'2, he would have been a top 5 pick. Fact is, he's extremely athletic but came up in 2 Pro Offenses (NC State and Wisconsin) where he didn't need to run much, and he's got a huge arm.

nothing like a moral victory thread when you get jobbed in a trade to boost spirits...

Uhmmmmm, I'm thinkin' the point of the thread was that its great that WE didn't pay too much for the guy, given his inability to beat out a 6th round draft choice rookie. It seems that those who wanted Flynn in Miami were wrong about his value, right? Who gives a **** about the Seahawks and their problems?

I guess it's as likely as seeing you write anything negative about this FO.

Sorry. thats what objectivity does to you... But there's more than enough fan-base experts, The sky is falling, I can do a much better job, they have no idea what they're doing, lets fire philbin supports out there to more than meet and keep your quota for the month.

Actually there was a lot of deflection saying that Philbin wanted him but Ireland refused to pay what he was actually worth (as to Ireland not willing to go higher..but also for cause.). Well they might have been half right about Ireland, but now that it looks like Philbin has the autonomy to weed out the headcases and underperformers (probably a Ross referendum to him), we know better about what the guy who knew Flynn better than most anyone, really thought of him.

Still and all, Flynn would be a good upgrade for the Cardinals or Jest.. so everything is relative. :idk:

Russell Wilson was a 3rd round pick. A really ****ing good 3rd round pick. You can't just say Flynn is a backup now without mentioning the context in Seattle.

There appears to be some confusion thinking that Ryan Tannehill beat out Matt Flynn for the job. It was Russell Wilson, highlighted by going to 13-19, 185 yards (9.7 ypa), 2 TD, 134.8 QB rating...2 rush, 58 yards, 44 points in 3 quarters that earned Wilson the starting job.

I can assure you had Wilson looked like Ryan Tannehill's 11-27, 112 yards (4.1 ypa), 1 int, 37.9 QB rating...6 points in 3 quarters Matt Flynn would be the starter.

Reality may simply be that the Seahawks have two QBs on their roster that are better than any of ours and either one would be starting for us.

 Okay.

Now you try it...Will make life a whole lot easier!!!
