right now I'd give him a look, he's the cheapest option out there, and if he's turned his life around could be good bang for our buck, if he sucks cut him

Didnt Porter and him have problems?
also wasnt he in a ton of trouble with the law, would the owners want such negative image on the redone Franchise image?

Matt Jones sucks.

He very likely does, but he does have potential to be that big aggressive reciever we've been looking for to compliment Ginn if he's not snorting coke.... just saying he would be worth a look by the trifecta....

but yeah so far in his career he's sucked, thx for the update

if they let matt jones come in as a #2 and they don't even give patrick turner a chance in a game first i will be pissed.

Matt jones is your pipe dream.. It won't happen.

haha i said pipe, Im sure matt's looking for one..

We have a ton of low risk - high reward guys. We need a no risk - special guy.

in terms of what we would have tl give up its low risk, but in terms of his attitude and field play, its a huge risk

WTF, he's not a dream at all, and i think I made it clear in my posts... again low risk possibly high reward guy.... low salary, no trade possibly a contributer this season.... thats all I was sayn

then we cut him, easy... not sayn he's a solution at all, but he possibly could contribute... no doubt his character is in question, and maybe thats why the fins haven't brought him in at all.... I could care less if we sign him or not, but if we do I'd trust the mgmt on that

Obviously Turner's not perfoming well in some aspect of his game, like we fans would know anything about why a guy really isn't getting a shot... Matt Jones was a more productive college player than Turner as well.... but again he hasn't exactly lit it up in the NFL, and his character is questionable at best... he likely doesn't even fit the requirements for playing on this team

Im not a big fan of picking guys up in the middle of the season unless its because of injury or someone is performing below expectations. I like to go to war with guys who busted there butts in training camp and offseason. At least you know what you got instead of taking a chance on someone who will not be up to speed with the rest of the team. If its a special teamer or something like that im ok with it. But to bring in a WR, then someone is getting cut and we already have to cut someone to bring Roth back. Matt Jones will be around at the end of the yr. sign him then and lets get the tires before throwing anything away for him, make him win the job.

goin to war is just a bad term to describe a football game from a players perspective, and worse from a fans.... other than that I agree with most of your thoughts

So is Lawrence Phillips, Cecil Collins, Demtrius Underwood (remember him?).
