This guy is absolutely destroying the Lions' franchise. He should have realized a month ago that he wasn't gunna get a 3rd or 4th round pick for Harrington and now that he was so thick-headed, the Lions won't get anything ... mark my words. Harrington has complete control now because he is firm on going to Miami and Saban and company knows this because of the recent public statements by JH. So, since he is due a bonus in June and no other team will pick up his old contract, the Lions have one of two choices. Drop Joey Harrington or keep him on board and choke on the bonus. Millen is a moron and now we'll get Harrington for NOTHING instead of a 6th rounder because he doesn't know how to run an organization. Time for Lions fans to bring out the "Fire Millen" signs again this year. :sidelol:
 
Matt should have taken that mail room job first.....
 
He'll get a sixth...they'll trade in the next two days..Millen needs to get something and Saban will move to get him in now. Saban already said he wanted to get a QB in a few weeks ago, there is no waiting
 
i know it would take alot longer, possibly until June 1st

but why doesn't Saban just screw the Lions and NOT trade the 6th rounder and force them to cut Harrington

i mean, he already said he wants to come here no matter what

we'd save a draft pick and end up signing him to the same 2-year offer we already offered him

I LOVE IT!!!

there's no sense in trading for him now, June 1st is a month and 10 days away

let's wait, keep our draft pick, and sign Joey after he's cut

dont trade for him, screw detroit, wait till he's cut, sign him, start him in the thanksgiving day game and let him have a crack at his former team resulting in a crushing loss for the lions
 
Matt Millen is a joke! Joey Harrington (3rd overall).....Bust Charles Rogers (2nd overall) has done nuthin cause he's hurt, and when he's not hurt, he's screwin up in the locker room......he's HORRIBLE.

I live right across from detroit so we hear everythin about the Lions, and I dunno if u guys heard this but for the Lions vs. Bengals to show that u wanted Millen out of Detroit u were supossed to wear somethin orange to show your support for the Bengals.....and im tellin u, the WHOLE stadium was in orange! haha it was great! so u can see what the whole city thinks of him!
 
Cuban B, nice thought, getting Joey for zip but the truth is we need to get him into camp now because we need him to be available to start on opening day if DC isn't ready to go.

i thouroughly enjoy the fire matt millen signs. this guy is a laughing stock of the nfl. seriously. he reminds me of the chick owner of the indians in major leauge. just tryin to ruin the team.
 
Matt Millen : Has the ignorance, stubborness, and stupididty of Dave Wannstedt, and the business/deal making skills of Rick Spielman. I feel really bad for all those poor lions fans.

Ill take it a step further. Had he started pedaling Harrington BEFORE Harrington's falling out with Martz, he could have probably netted a first day pick for him. Instead, Millen waited until Harrington left the room crying and lost the QB job, before he started accepting trade offers. Complete lunacy.

Ive supported Millen in the past, probably more than most, but this is absolutely unexcusable for a GM.

Agree, he needs to be with the team as soon as possible. June 1st is too late; especially since he may start the season for us.
