This guy is one of the worst announcers in the game. he can't do anything right. How many times did I have to hear him say the Ricky Williams "of the Saints".....Does this bafoon realize Ricky led the league in Rushing with the Dolphins and not the Saints. Does he realize Ricky Williams was weighing about 245 lbs with the Saints?

Also, when Ginn made a catch with his leg, did anyone else hear Millen say "Chad Henne throws the ball and when Tedd Ginn breaks back to the ball it gives him a chance to throw it"....wtf????

Matt Millen is a F***en retard! He has ruined the Lions and he is now ruining the telecast booths....

Matt millen should be banned from NFL football......
 
I didn't think he was that bad. People seem to have an impression of him based on him as a GM. I look at him as a player. He was a damn good one from a hard nosed era. He may have had some slips but I thought he made some good points on coverages and the like. He wasn't quite as bad as you suggest. My rule is "if I could do it better than I will complain or critique, If not I keep my mouth shut".

I was also going to write something about that. It was driving me crazy everytime he said that.

Ricky was injured year 1, barely ran for 1000 yards year 2, and was not in the sainst plans year 3, his best year was year 4 w/ THE DOLPHINS.

Thought I was alone, glad to se someone else saw that.
 
That was annoying but overall he is prolly better then 80% of the CBS and Fox broadcasters. He actually was fair both ways and actually talked about the game then how great Tom Brady is and should become God of all humanity like the others do.
 
Not to mention how he kept harping that Delhomme should have snapped the ball to catch the Dolphins with too many men on the field, over and over, ...until the other announcer pointed out that the umpire was standing over the ball not letting him because IT'S NOT ALLOWED!
Honestly, who does this guy have pictures of to have kept his disastrous GM job for so long and then to immediately get an announcing job?!
 
A lot of these "experts" don't seem to factor in yhat Ricky has fewer football miles than other players his age, but Millin didn't bother me as much as Neon Deon. Here is my interpretation of Neooon last night.

"Steve Smith blah blah blah, Steve Smith blah blah blah, I hate the Dolphins blah blah blah. Steve Smith blah blah blah"

That's about all I got out of that Moron from my favorite college football team.
 
No wonder why the Lions have sucked so long. He was a good player, but this does nothing for his GM and announcing skills. He was horrible last night.
 
The biggest mystery after who shot JFK is "How did Matt Millen keep his GM job with the Detroit Lions for all those years?" Millen makes Isiah Thomas look like Executive of the Year material.
 
its better for him to be there in the booth then down in miami as a gm.

He is married to the owners daughter or granddaughter, that's how he got the GM job in Detroit.
