Do u think thats possible? Dont get me wrong, i think he will make an amazing DE for the Dolphins...but what if we moved him to OLB. perhaps we could then draft Gaines Adams at DE...or is Matt Roth purely a DE???

To tell the truth, no. He's more of a DE/DT hybrid than a DE/OLB hybrid.

Roth just does not have the speed that is necessary to play OLB. And I really don't think he's anywhere near being a DT either. I think he's strictly a DE.

He's like 285 pounds now, and has seemingly adjusted well to being a bigger 2-gap DE, which we probabaly will need him to start at next year. Not really a reason for it.

Roth actually started seeing time at DT towards the end of the season and was fairly productive.

he was only at Dt in pass rushing situations alot of teams do that he never was at DT in running situations

Yep.

Matt Roth is fast when it comes to exploding off the ball, not going sideline-to-sideline or covering anyone.

iowa had put matt as an olb originally if i remember correctly, but they obviously saw his position was on the d-line. I believe matt has to stay on the d-line(not only as a DE either...) he is flexible, has a high motor, and is a good athlete strength and speed wise. I see matt roth becoming a good (but not great) defensive end for the Miami Dolphins for a long time, supplying 6-8 sacks per season but will provide much more than that to our team in leadership and motivation to his team mates, hes the real deal strong in the rush AND run game.
