Matt Roth placed on PUP

Sparano said he did not pass his conditioning test (part of yesterday's meeting in Davie was the conditioning test, that was given to everybody) and was under the weather and will get a few days to recover on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP). Hopefully he is back later in the week.

He wasn't overweight as people reported that he looked slimmer, probably just been sick. Jason Taylor steps in as the starting SOLB in his absence.

During camp he can be taken off at anytime. When the final roster is made, any player placed on PUP can be reactivated by week 6.

JP was put on PUP the 1st day I beleive and removed the 2nd day last year.

Hopefully he gets right because he was a big part of this defense last year. One of the few defenders on the team able to actually create pressure on the QB. Something we really haven't addressed this off-season, we need Roth healthy.
