I havent seen much of his play.... it seems he is only on the feild for certain situations.... Does anyone know how he is progressing?

Is he a bust?..... better or worse than expected? a project?

He's being used mostly in short yardage situations and doing pretty good against the run in those situations from what I've seen of him.

He's still young and we have alot of depth on our D-line. I think its way to early to tell how good he is going to be.

yeah but saban should start getting him more involved in the game.. some of those vets on D-line arent gonna get resigned..

Roth was close to a 1st round pick.. Players picked around this time in the draft on other teams are being way more incorporated.......

You cannot say a player is a bust after 9 f'n games. people please i know he was a second round pick but do you really want him playing over Vonnie or Carter? i dont right now, bc they give us the best chance to win and besdies i dont see the problem wiht letting him sit and learn for a year and only go in a few plays a game bc next year he will be that much more prepared. stop trying to label players bust at least give them 2-3 seasons. GOD!

Roth has been very impressive vs. the run. Played well in goalline situations.

He hasnt been used much in passing situations... so that is why he isnt sacking people like everyone thought he was going to...

My take is that Traylor, Carter and Vonnie have played lights out and left little opprotunity for others. I did see bowens make a play the other day but that in my memory is all I remember about bowens. So roth I would imagine is not getting many opprotunities to play. Hard to tell on tv. I think this kid will shine in his own time.
