Matt Roth's future

His value is limited. It would have been nice to move him, but I wonder if anyone would have given up even a 4th or 5th for him. That's a real loss of value on a 2nd pick. He was genuinely terrible last year.

Whomever our trading partner would have been, would probably have asked us to give them picks to take him off our hands. Just kidding. Or maybe not.

Surtain had a big time salery, we were rebuilding and still are...To much money for us.

Matt Roth was a great pick at the time, but he turned into a nobody, I really thought he could of been a great player...

Oh well, you win some..you lose some.

It's never a great pick if they don't turn into anything. It may seem like a great pick to us fans, but the football minds getting the big money should know better than us.

And I still contend that if we'd kept Surtain in our terrible secondary that year we would have made the playoffs.

I miss the playoffs.

Remember Sparano's mini-press conference at the team meetings a couple weeks ago. In hindsight he was just spewing out total b.s. and complete lies. That is something to remember next time he speaks regarding strategy. Roth is on his way out. By drafting Merling, Langford, signing Starks, and retaining Vonnie and Rodrique Wright, Roth is all but assured one foot out the door. Maybe we can trade him to a team that experiences a rash of injuries, remember when we traded a 3rd or 4th for Jay Williams when Wannstedt was running the show? I'm hoping for a similar steal.

well the stupidiest thing was releasing madison and sertain. why would you get rid of 2 stars and relplace both with no notable stars or stand ins. At least should have kept 1 of them.

we traded Madison for Will Allen . . . that IMO was one of the better moves in Nick's tenure.

We also got Surtain for a 2nd . . . we just didn't pick that good with Roth.
