Matt Ryan not practicing this week ?? This could be BIG News

Some dirty bird fans are saying he won't practice this week because something must be really wrong for him to miss practice today. He has an illness apparently but he isn't the type of player to miss a practice because of a cold.

We said Matt Roth had an illness in the beginning of camp, did we not ?

Two "Matt's" who are "ill" and have a 4-letter last name. Hmmmm

Falcons | Ryan misses practice Monday

D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan (illness) did not participate in practice Monday, Sept. 7, because of an illness.
 
The Football Gods could possibly be smiling upon us again.
 
5:04:35 pm Falcons coach Mike Smith said there wasn't an update available on RB Jerious Norwood (knee) and S William Moore (hamstring) except that "neither one participated" in practice today.

There will be an injury report Wednesday, per NFL rules.
 
i'll be shocked if norwood suits up after what i saw when he got injured. it's big too cause as a returner and homerun threat he's legit and the way we've covered kicks thus far we need all the help we can get.

Not saying he will miss the game. But it would be nice to see his timing off and being a little rusty by missing some practices this week.

When the pass rush comes he may not be used to the speed of the game if he takes a lot of time off.
 
if there were truly something wrong with ryan, it would be plastered all over ESPN 24 hours a day already.

Hopefully it'll make him miss week one, or at least not be 100% week one. I wouldn't count on it though.
 
Sounds to me like some phin fans are a little worried... Matt will be fine so don't get your hopes up to high! Hes just resting his arm because throwing for 400 yards next Sunday will probably be pretty tiresome you know?
