Okay i think ill start the Matt Schaub for Miami QB Bandwagon. Even the announcers said he will be chased by many teams after this season. He is amazing!! Backs up Michael Vick in Atlanta, plays against the New England Patriots and throws for 298 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs.....this kid is YOUNG, he is out of University of Virginia so he must be SMART, lol....but i think he would be an amazing addition to our QBs for next year. Personally i would drop both AJ Feeley AND Sage Rosenfels.....pickup Matt Schaub, and draft a QB early. Who else thinks Matt Schaub is worth the investment???

better be prepared to give up a few first rounders for him. the falcons KNEW he'd be this good, and it was a great pick for them

I was very pleased on how he played so well against the Pats defense. This kid has got a bright future and he should be starting somewhere next year.

The QB position is not what we need to concentrate on. besides.. in case you haven't been listening.. Saban and Mueller are going to draft a QB.

From what i've seen of schaub he looks like a solid but unspectacular player, he seems to make good decisions and take what the defense is giving him, looks to be pretty accurate passer but he doesn't appear have a particuarly good arm and has a slightly slow release. All of which is fairly academic since theres no way atlanta let him go for anything like a reasonable price

yeah i know what ur saying......we need to pickup/draft a Solid CB next year, at least 2 young offensive lineman, Toniu Fonoti is my pick....and then of course a QB....all our other positions are filled up great. Im pretty sure tho we can trade Ricky Williams away for a good 1st rounder, cuz guys like Shaun Alexander and Edgerring James will require more than a 1st rounder.....if u can get an equal good back for JUST a 1st rounder, they should take it. I think Matt Leinart would be perfect for us, but i doubt we will get high enough to get him. But as long as we get a good Center, a good QB, and a good CB in next year's draft.....then we did our job. Who knows if Will Poole comes back and plays real well???

Solid but unspectacular
Pretty accurate but not the best arm
Slightly slow release

Reminds me of.......Gus Frerrote, AJ Feeley, Sage Rosenfels......so its not like he would be any worse than anyone we have now. We need to drop AJ no matter what, and id also advise dropped Sage. Pickup Schaub, draft a QB to groom.

i agree with most of your post.. except the trading of Ricky.. for some reason i just don't see it.

We will build this team throught the draft.. and if we select the positions you mentioned although not in that order... we'll be fine.

I think the same about David Gerrard (backup to Leftwich-Jags)...He would be an excellent acquision also, but he's too valuable to the Jags, he is as good as Leftwich (more accurate, moe comfortable in the pocket etc) Next choice would be Philip Rivers, probably another impossibility, but agree we need 2 very competent QB's to start, same goes for CB's....just IMO

Billy Volek is the answer. Last year he had 2500 yds and only started eight games. Do the math, if he would have kept that pace up he would have been close to 5000 yds on the season.

Somehow that math doesn't add up.

Is everyone prepared to give up at least one and possibly more than one first rounder to get the aforementioned quarterbacks?

defnately willin to give up one first rounder because Volek's proven and if we draft someone in the first round they may not be proven
