he looked good in the game against the colts, and has looked decent his whole career. Of course we shouldnt give up a 2nd round pick for him, but if aj feeley and gus frerotte dont pan out is he a canidate?

lol listening to golek a little to closely are we?

"i don't wanna start anything..."

if we need a QB we'll draft one.

You expect to get a starting QB cheaper?

He was a 3rd Rd pick & has done nothing to suggest he cannot play so why would the Falcons trade him for anything less than a 2nd?

I think that if AJ doesn't prove to be the long term answer this season, one of two things will happen:

1. the Dolphins draft a QB in the first round next year, and let somebody (maybe somebody already on the roster, maybe a veteran like Jon Kitna) play "caretaker" until the young guy develops.

or

2. The 'Phins trade for a (relatively) young QB with serious upside. Maybe one of the San Diego QB's, or some other youngster sitting on the bench somewhere. Would Schaub be one of those candidates? I don't know, I haven't seen enough of him to even have an opinion on the guy myself.

I think (1) above is more likely though. Saban has already spoke about how he believes in building through the draft.

Oh yeah, he's looked great his entire career. After all, a 1-6 TD-INT ratio doesn't come around everyday. He looks good in preseason, so does Sage Rosenfels.

Team chemistry would be a good reason. I don't know how happy he is stuck behind Vick, so I'm not sure whether that is a valid, good reason.

Good point. You know what they say, "the grass alwys looks greener on the other side of the fence".
Feeley looked pretty good as a backup in Philly also.
Don Strock used to look pretty good as a relief pitcher for Woodley, but for some reason he couldn't be consistent as a starter.
