USC ILB Rey Maualuga (hamstring) is reportedly unlikely to be healthy by the Trojans' Pro Day in March.
Maualuga heard a pop in his hamstring, indicating it may have been torn. The first-round prospect was credited with an official forty time of 4.82.

I have no doubt this kid drops to the late first or most likely second round with a torn Hamstring. If he cannot perform at his pro day forget about the first. There are also rumors of teams questioning he decision making. Maualaga fans might be very happy if this kid drops to us.

if crowder walks

and he is there at 25

i dont see a way where he is not a dolphin next year

If he drops to 25, which i admit is highly unlikely, we'd have to snag him, then we can grab cushing in rd2 since everyone is piling on him too....we can find a way to grab Matthews and move them all from southern cali to southern FL.

I like the way you think

I don't care how well he plays track he can play football just fine. I hope he drops to the Dolphins and I hope Crowder stays too.

let's see how he interviews and does film. Parcells,Ireland, and Sparano seem to prefer guys who are hard workers and smart players than the million dollar body 10 cent brain guys. And as much as I like Rey Rey the player, he doesn't exactly portray himself as a bright guy.

Biggest thing that hurts him from being a FIn if he falls to us is that he doesn't play within the system; he's a freelancer.

He's probably number one on my semi-realistic wish list right now. I think there is a real possibility he could be there should this injury keep him out of his pro day. Potential steal here.

- On a side note, what is up with all the combine injuries this year? Maualaga, Maclin seemed to have fairly serious injuries, some other wideout hurt himself in the positional drills I think. Crabtree found out he had that mild fracture in his foot. That one small school TE was told he'd never play football again due to a heart condition. Sad combine this year.

if hes hammy is torn... i wouldnt touch him with a first day pic.. i want to win now especially with our crazy schedule this year... remember Rod wright.... suposedly a 1st rounder maybe second dropped to seventh and we got him. He hasnt done crap for us.

i still want him, have you seen him play? injuries heal.

If he fell no way would the pats pass on him we would have to leap frog down the draft.

Cush fits the pats a lot more than Rey Rey does. while i dont disagree with you. Mayo is there Rey in their system. he may be too good to pass up but i feel they will target a different kind of LB.
