Look at Dez walking away from his teammates. How you react to adversity is huge and we all know playing for the Phins would have raised many opportunities for adversity. The guys that are here, including the coaches seemed to have stayed even during the time of hopelessness

Nope. Ireland was wrong and no hindsight will change that.
Hindsight does not change the fact that the question was extremely insensitive and rude.

Even for the NFL.
The fact is Ireland new the answer to the question before he asked it making it not only rude but totally unnecessary and bordering on spiteful.

dude has tremendous character problems. its the ultimate trade off, as talented as you get but a major character problem. ireland was correct to try to test his character with that question. he could have done it differently sure but the end result validated his character concerns

"test his character" by asking if his mom was a prostitute, Seriously???

What about the character of the person asking the question when he already knew the answer! Please tell me how the parents character automatically equals the sons character? Some of us must be high on Ireland after a win but this was never a classy/good move and there is no justification of it regardless of how Dez Bryant ends up. Just look at how it has negatively affected Ireland's reputation and relationship with players and tell me it was a good call with a straight face..

I am not an Ireland basher but lets call a spade a spade, dude is not a nice warm hearted guy that players and people around the League love..

Mainly because of this comment....

seems like you don't understand how I mean test his character. the fact that his mom was a prostitute is irrelevant. you try to ask the guy a question he is uncomfortable answering, might make him angry and see how he handles himself.

Actually his mother was a long-term poultry farmer. Over the years she was responsible for raising an inordinate number of ****s!

But beyond whether mommy spread her legs for rocks of crack or not, I was more concerned about having his dad, a pimp, as his primary male role model. :idk:

Hey Tannchise, is your mother a whore? I've heard some rumors about her and I really gotta know... is your mother a whore???

Does that feel okay to you? It bothered me to even type it.

To be fair, there is a difference between a whore and a prostitute. :3w:

Spinit and twist it all you want, Ireland was totaly wrong. It doesn't matter as we didn't draft him but to try to make that look good cause we've been winning lately makes no sense other that an Ireland supporter trying to make him look good. Again, can't we just enjoy a win without trying to make Ireland some kind of hero?

Ozzy rules!!

"uncomfortable answering"

who are you the devil?

Imagine someone asking you that question!! , (even if it were true)

uncomfortable is not the word my friend.. more like

Shame inducing
Hateful
Rude
Tactless
Coldhearted

Really? So if I call your mother a prostitute you're gonna feel a whole lot better about it than if I call her a whore?

This is homerism run amok when we make excuses for Ireland's inappropriate and boorish behavior.

I was just explaining the reasoning behind it, I don't condone his question let me say that

If you tell someone in an interview for a job that my Dad is a pimp and my Mom works for him. What would your response be.Ireland Im sure just had to ask and I would probably inquire just to find out what his mom actually did. This story is blown so way out of proportion.Granted I still think Ireland is a jackass with his attitude but I really dont blame his for inquiring
