Hey. I don't know if anyone has read this. Bear in mind that is PFW not PFT.

http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFL/AFC/AFC+East/Miami/WWHI/default.htm

The part that got me was:

"We hear that Saban’s fingerprints were all over the team’s play-calling during the first half of the season and that maligned offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey was finally able to take more control of the game plan for the Bears game"

Feel free to merge since the article is pretty old.

yeah so Why don't u just delete those rdiclous fire Mularky badges.

im sorry, but i still doubt saban, being the well grounded traditionalist that he is, called for that HB pass against the texans to tie...

mularkee did call a screen pass on 3rd and 17 what a ******* call

i believe execution was the major problem and not always playcalling... there have been a few inane calls... but every team has them. Our execution especially passing on the first drive was awesome.

Calling BS on the quoted passage.

Saban approaches the offense with a hands-off mentality. Be it Mularkey or Linehan, whoever our OC is enjoys more complete control over the offense than an OC any other given team would. If anything, Saban would be more hands-on with the offense after the bye week, not before it, since Mularkey's play calling simply wasn't working. Notice the reduction in gadget plays since the bye week, for example.

Playcalling has improved because Mularkey has reduced the gadget plays, has called more running plays, spreads the ball around when he calls a passing play, and seems to have finally grasped the strengths and weaknesses of our offensive players.

Of course, all of this is made possible by improved play from the offensive line...

Hay man. I did provide a Link. So I did not made it up.

I'm actually kinda surprised myself since I thought saban was very hands off in the playcalling. But I do remember a lot of people posting that that many of these plays were plays that would work in college but not in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it but don't hate the messenger. Hate the message.

One thing I liked about today. NO ****ING REVERSES.

mularkey probably realized that he better get his **** together or he is going to be gone

the running game was bad today, but the last couple of weeks we have been running very well, which helps us to keep the ball out of harrington's hands

but today the defense won the game again, jason taylor is a beast

what did you want him to do? go to the page in the playbook that's specifically designed to gain 20 yards no problem? come on, a screens actually a good call in that situation.

Yeah if it would have worked nobody would have complained. I never heard anyone complain about the flea flicker we threw last week or the reverse we ran agains the Giants on 2003

yea I know.. but at least call a play that will get us at least 10 to 15 and let the receiver try and get the rest.. a 4 yrd pass in the flat was disappointing.
But you are right.. there is no call for a 3rd and 25 ot whatever it was.

I believe that Saban chewed his @$$ out at the beginning of the bye week, that's when the play calling got better. Now all we need to do is get rid of the Screen pass to the WR 4 times a game and that dumb pitch back to Brown.

And the reverses. Please get rid of the reverses.

I don't mind the tricks once a game, but 3 and 4 get on my nerves.

Today, I really can't remember any, so get ready for Turkey day.

I'm not going to judge Mularkey until after the season is over. He deserves the same amount of time that Linehan had a year ago. It takes time to build continuity on offense, and we're starting to find a comfort level in my opinion...

If it goes bad from here on out, then I'll comment on finding his replacement, but for now I'm satisfied. Since the bye, this has been a totally different team. They've been tighter on both sides of the ball, so I can't really complain....

PHINZ RULE!!!!
